Blurb
There’s a fine line between lust and hate.
I don’t care that Drew Merritt spent the last year
transforming himself from grungy slob to sexy playboy. With messy, dirty blond
hair and gorgeous eyes, his looks aren’t the problem.
His mouth is.
And the stupid things that come out of it.
But after an emergency strands us together, and he does his
damnedest to take care of me…
Let’s just say there’s one thing we don’t clash on.
And it doesn’t involve talking.
I’ve despised Drew since I met him years ago. One weekend
can’t change us that much, can it?
Spoiler alert: It doesn’t.
Except he left me a little keepsake.
And in nine months, I’ll have a surprise for Portland’s most
notorious player.

Lex Martin
Lex writes contemporary romance, the sexy kind with lotsa
angst, a whole lotta kissing, and the hot happily ever afters. When she's not
writing, she lives a parallel life as an English teacher.
She loves printing black and white photos, listening to
music on vinyl, and getting lost in a great book. Bitten by wanderlust,
she's lived all over the country but
currently resides in the City of Angels with her husband and twin daughters.
Lex is represented by Kimberly Brower of Brower Literary
& Management.

Leslie McAdam
Leslie McAdam is a California girl who loves romance, Little
Dude, and well-defined abs. She lives in a drafty old farmhouse on a small
orange tree farm in Southern California with her husband and two small
children. Leslie always encourages her kids to be themselves - even if it means
letting her daughter wear leopard print from head to toe. An avid reader from a
young age, she will always trade watching TV for reading a book, unless it's
Top Gear. Or football. Leslie is employed by day but spends her nights writing
about the men you fantasize about. She's unapologetically sarcastic and
notoriously terrible at comma placement.
Always up for a laugh, Leslie tries to see humor in all
things. When she's not in the writing cave you'll find her fangirling over
Beck, camping with her family, or mixing up oil paints to depict her love of
outdoors on canvas.

Blurb
When Graham Braden travels to Oak Falls, Virginia to attend the wedding of his buddy Reed Cross to Grace Montgomery, he sticks around to help with renovations to Reed’s new theater. The last thing he expects is to be asked to assess and possibly invest in Grace’s sister Morgyn’s business endeavor. Graham is a careful, keen businessman, and Morgyn is impulsive, disorganized, and more interested in the energy flow in her eclectic retail shop than in the accuracy of her records. While Graham isn’t ready to open his pockets to the sassy, sexy business owner, he may be ready to open his heart.

“What are your three most favorite things?” Morgyn asked as she strummed the guitar.
“That’s a hard one.”
“Okay, and the next two?” She bumped him with her shoulder, looking as sweet as she did sexy wearing one of his flannel shirts over her dress.
He loved her quirky sense of humor.
“Shouldn’t that be one of your favorite things?” he teased.
She shifted her gaze up toward the sky and strummed a faster tune, singing, “It’s your turn, not mine.”
“I’ve got a lot of favorite things.” He ran his fingers along her leg. “Your sexy legs.”
Her eyes darkened, and she played a little slower.
“And the way flecks of darker blue glitter in your eyes when you get turned on.”
“Cracker,” she said just above a whisper.
“I can’t help it that you’re beautiful.”
“Stop. You’re embarrassing me. Tell me something real.”
“That was real, and number three would be your free spirit.”
“Says Mr. Prepared, who brought a pop-up shower stall, a battery-operated heater, and a Coleman stove like my grandfather used. I’m willing to bet there’s a kitchen sink around here somewhere.”
“No sink, but I can rig one up if you need it.” He leaned in for a kiss, lingering because her kisses were unlike any others. She kissed with the same energy she seemed to do everything else, giving herself over to it completely, savoring every second.
Her eyes remained closed for a few heated seconds after their lips parted. When she opened them, a sated smile appeared like a gift. He wondered if she kissed other guys like that, or if she felt the same unfamiliar, unstoppable connection he did.
“I like kissing you, sunshine.” He brushed her hair behind her ear and kissed her again, slower and sweeter than the last. “I’m adding that to my list. I think I need more than three things.”

Melissa Foster hooked me with her Whiskey series and every now and then I see her name and jump in to her books without thought. And for a reason I couldn't tell you this book jumped out at me and I dove in.
I didn't realise this was the third in a series or I probably would have added the first one to my TBR and never gotten around to reading it. But with that said it doesn't matter if it's the first or fiftieth with these books. They can all be read as standalones and you can go back and read an earlier one without any real issues. I just prefer to read my books in order, although I am getting less anal about it as i get older and my TBR pile gets bigger.
So about this book. It was sweet. The characters were unique. The families were great. And at any other time the sugar overdose would have been perfect. But I know myself well enough to know that the reason this book wasn't working for me is that I am entirely distracted with my real life and I needed to be caught up in a whole mess of drama and this wasn't it.
I read it and enjoyed it, I just couldn't get swept away by it which annoyed me to no end. And every time I did get into it one of my real life distractions would drag me out of it. So a book I would normally inhale in an afternoon took me 3 days to read.
So I am giving it three and a half stars knowing that if I read it last month or next month it would be a four or a four and a half star read and I really suggest if your looking for a whole heap of sweet, drama free, make your eye teeth ache, romance you one click this one.

Blurb
He’s bossy, moody, and overprotective.
He’s also a pro athlete who needs to focus on winning games and staying out of the headlines.
I’m fiercely independent and need a man like I need a second period each month.
So when our worlds collide, I never expected him to be the one to jump in and save me. Especially not when my roommate disappears, leaving me with her baby.
I’m clueless about babies—and it shows. Good thing Alexei isn’t. With six nieces and nephews and an apparent hero complex, the dude is both sexy and more than capable. It’s a combination that makes it easy to forget we’re just playing house.

That was absolutely worth the wait. You know when you read the blurb for a book and it instantly hooks you only to realise you have months to wait before you can read the book? Well that's what happened here. So much so that I stalked everyone begging for an ARC until they took pity on me.
Then you have that niggling worry before you start reading that maybe you have built it up too far. What if it just doesn't work for you for whatever reason and you have to go back and apologise for the stalking and begging. But nope not this time. This time it was all that I could have wanted.
Alexei was awesome. I really couldn't get enough of him. He was such a gentleman and as his relationship with Rylee developed he just got better. I loved that he had such a massive heart of gold and that he led with it and put it out there without fear.
And don't even get me started on Rylee. She was amazeballs. Having a baby to care for is hard and scary and that's having 9 months to prepare for it. I would say I can't imagine what it would be like to have it happen overnight but Kendall wrote it so perfectly i feel like i just lived it.
The emotions in this were on point and I felt everything. I will admit to shedding a few tears but I did have a lot more happy moments than sad. And the chemistry between these two was off the charts. That said they didn't just jump straight into bed and the progression felt really natural.
So umm yeah it was ok I guess, you know, whatever. Nah can't even play it cool for a minute I freaking loved it. You have to kick off your new year with this book.

How do you date your best friend's sister? Easy.
Step one: Pretend you want her to set you up with someone else. That will bring the two of you closer.
Step two: Go on date with lots of random women, proceed to get stupid drunk and talk about your best friend's sister, thus gaining the courage to finally make a move.
Step three: Randomly show up at her apartment and confess your love. Women love that, right?
It all seemed so simple. A fool-proof three step process that will guarantee the love of you life to fall madly in love with you.
At least--that's what I thought was going to happen. But my attempts to win over Julia Westin backfired in more ways than I can count. The thing about Julia? She's smart--really smart--and her wicked gaze cuts through all the charm I've tried slinging her way. She's not interested in games, my gifts, or my stories. She might want me too; but she's not giving in that easy...

The Vow
A Manhattan Nights Novel
by Natalie Wrye
Publication Date: September 8, 2018
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Except it wasn’t a wedding…
Because Brett Jackson was the epitome of anti-marriage–a dirty-talking tattoo artist with a penchant for booze, bimbos and blue-eyed women.
I was none of those.
Guess that’s why he walks into my new apartment with my not-so-nice roommate on his arm…as her new boyfriend.
But this is not seven years ago. I’m over him; I really am.
So why does it bother me so much when he catches me naked in my new place?
Why does his searing stare at my body stay with me?
Why am I wishing for a repeat and wanting to break the most important vow I’ve ever made?
A vow that will break both me and Brett…and turn the Manhattan life I’ve built for myself upside down.
AUTHOR’S NOTE: This is a full-length, stand alone, best friend’s brother/second chance romance with humor, twists and heat. Enjoy!

It turned out to be so much more.
Maybe that's because everything involving Violet Keats was so much more. More frustrating. More pain-in-the-ass. More sexy than anything I'd ever seen.
You know what they say: All's fair in love and the law. And what happens to Manhattan's toughest lawyer when she ends up on the wrong side of my bitter family feud should be no different...
Until one night changes everything.
I knew what taking this dangerous bet would do to her. What I never bet on is what taking this gamble would do to me...
