About REBECCA YARROS

Rebecca Yarros is a hopeless romantic and a lover of all things coffee, chocolate, and Paleo. She is the author of the Flight & Glory, Renegades, and Legacy series. She loves military heroes, and has been blissfully married to hers for fifteen years. When she’s not writing, she’s tying hockey skates for her four sons, sneaking in some guitar time, or watching brat-pack movies with her two daughters. She lives in Colorado with the hottest Apache pilot ever, their rambunctious gaggle of kids, an English bulldog who is more stubborn than sweet, and a tortoise who might be faster than the bulldog. They recently adopted their youngest daughter from the foster system, and Rebecca is passionate about helping others do the same.

I feel like I have been waiting forever for Nova. Ever since
the climactic reveal of who Rachel was I knew I had to know their story and
damn it was a ride. But of course Rebecca Yarros always knows exactly which
strings to pull to wrap me up in a ball of nerves and anticipation.
There was so much to this story that I don’t know what to
say without spoiling anything for you. It felt like every time I got to an aha
moment there was a whole other layer that still needed to be peeled back for me
to cry a little more over. Not that this was a book that had me in floods of
tears just that the writing is so perfect that I felt every emotion these
characters went through.
For a lot of the book I didn’t like Nova and to be honest I
don’t necessarily know that I like him now. Don’t get me wrong he did make up
for his mistakes and I completely understood why he did it I just wouldn’t be
able to get passed it personally. Unless there was a lot more grovelling, but
that’s just my personality and I do understand why Rachel did and it didn’t
take anything away from the story but I still really want to kick his arse.
Rachel was amazing and for me this whole book was all about
how beautiful she was and how strong. I really couldn’t have asked for a more
kick arse heroine. Every time I wondered how much more could she go through
without curling into a ball and crying for the rest of the book she rallied and
did something that just made me love her more.
As always the characters were great and the story was even
better and I am so glad I sat down and read it as soon as the pre-order hit my
kindle. If you haven’t read Wilder yet I highly recommend reading that first,
you can find my review for it here.

The only heart he wants is the one he already broke...

NOVA
The Renegades #2
Rebecca Yarros
Releasing February 20th, 2017
Entangled Embrace
The only heart he wants is the one
he already broke...
He's
Landon Rhodes.
The
Renegade they call Nova.
Sinfully
gorgeous, broody, tatted-up, professional snowboarder.
Four-time
X Games medalist—
Full-time
heartbreaker.
They say a girl broke him once—
That's why he's so reckless, so
driven, so careless with his conquests.
But I'm
that girl.
They can
call me his curse all they want.
He and I
both know the truth—
He's the
one who destroyed me,
And I'm
not the sucker who will let that happen again.

“Right.
I’ll be quick—you’ve got to be getting cold. My point is that what happened
back then...what I did to you. It was wrong. I was wrong. I did the wrong
goddamned thing for what I thought was the right reason, and I’m so damn
sorry—”
The
door opened, and I stepped back in shock. Maybe I should have led with the
sorry in the first place. Rachel stood there, gloriously nude, water dripping down
her petal-soft skin, and it took every ounce of willpower from every man in the
world to keep my eyes on her face. She openly glared at me then lifted a single
eyebrow, bent to grab her clothes off the floor—holy shit, her ass could
stop traffic—and walked right past me, her head held high.
My
mouth actually watered with every step she took, and I snapped my lips closed
to avoid drooling. I barely contained my groan, unsure of what was
sexier—Rachel’s perfect body that I knew fit mine like a damn puzzle piece, or
her I-don’t-give-a-fuck confidence as her hips swayed down the hall. I should have known that a bathroom door was no match for
her tenacity.
Point
made.
My
heart sank when I looked closer at her lower back. There was a vague, silvery
mark, but no tattoo. She’d had it removed. Erased it. Erased us.
She
slammed her bedroom door, and I followed until my head rested against the wood.
“Fuck, you are so stubborn,” I whispered, but it came out as more of a
compliment than a measure of my frustration.

Excerpt
“Do I get a good-luck kiss?” he asked after checking for cameras, his hands framing my waist.
“Paxton.” I tried to make it sound like a warning, but it came out too breathy, too wanting. For crying out loud, I couldn’t even control my own voice against this guy.
He squeezed lightly and then groaned. “Did I ever tell you that I love this dress?”
I shook my head. The spaghetti-strap maxi dress had been a last-minute choice, but Penna said she was going to burn all my pants if she saw me in them for the twenty-first day in a row.
He leaned down, his mouth against the shell of my ear. “I can feel every curve under my hands, which makes me pretty damn desperate to slide this up your legs and really get my hands on you. But I won’t. You know why?”
I shook my head.
“Because you haven’t said yes—yet—and I’m a goddamned gentleman.”
My fingers traced the lines of the Chinese symbol tattoos that ran up his neck, simply unable not to touch him. “Do I have to say yes to everything to get to kiss you?” I asked.
His breath stuttered. “Do you want to say yes?”
Our eyes met, and it would have been so easy to say it, to throw my hesitation overboard and jump. But that wasn’t me, and it didn’t matter that I was in a breezy dress under the Italian sun with the hottest extreme athlete on the planet, I was still...me. “I’m thinking about it.”
His forehead puckered for a millisecond before he relaxed and smoothed the line of my waist. “Then I think we can take yeses on a case-by-case basis.”
My heart pounded in anticipation. “Leah, would you like me to kiss you?”
“Yes,” I answered instantly.
Our hips met first as he drew me in. My hands slipped down the edges of his T-shirt to grasp the inked lines of his biceps. Arms like his should be modeled, sculpted, revered... or maybe just outlawed.
“Do you want to kiss me?” I asked.
“Hell yes,” he answered, then brushed his mouth against mine once before settling over me.
I opened for him, and he dove in, his tongue filling my mouth while my ass filled his hands. Gentleman, indeed.

September 28, 2016

This seems to be the month for amazeballs books. It’s
like all my favorite authors got together to see if they could blow my mind
with their awesome.
It goes without saying that if Rebecca Yarros writes
it, I will read it. But damn did this book have all the action and emotion I
could handle and then some.
Wilder was everything I could ask for in a new adult
hero. Cocky, arrogant, wild, man whore who knows what he wants and gives his whole
heart and soul into getting it. He was so fearless and full of life it was hard
not to fall in love with him as soon as I met him. He is one of those people
who pulls you into his orbit without effort and I loved the fact that I could
feel the pull between Wilder and Leah from their first meeting.

Leah was struggling so hard to repair her broken
pieces and I loved that she never used everything she had gone through as an
excuse to avoid her feelings for Wilder. She was such an amazing character I
loved her as much as I loved Wilder. And despite a few tests and trials she
never made stupid drama or excuses, she just pulled up her big girl panties and
dealt with it. Her strength was awesome to watch.
There were a few things that upset me to no end and
for a while there I thought I might have to put the book down and walk away but
of course Rebecca is a goddess and she pulled me back to being on her stalker
list and I absolutely can’t wait to read the rest of the Renegades finding
their HEA.
