I have
two goals this season:
1.
Prove to the Seattle Serpents I’m not a complete screwup.
2.
Stay away from the nanny.
I’m hardly
able to keep myself out of trouble, let alone a seven-year-old, but when my
estranged brother gets a life sentence, I have no choice but to clean up my act
and take the kid in.
It’s all
going according to plan…until I’m forced to hire Quinn Benson.
She’s
everything I need to avoid—flighty, messy, creating chaos everywhere she goes.
But she makes my niece happy, so I hire her anyway, keeping our interactions as
brief as possible, even when she moves in with me.
Thing is,
the more she’s around, the more I want her around—and not just as a
nanny. I can’t seem to stop falling into bed with her even when I know I
shouldn’t. Quinn goes against everything I’m trying to accomplish, but I can’t
stay away.

Teagan
Hunter writes such awesome stories, and I've really enjoyed her hockey books.
So, when I read the blurb for this I was all "sign me up." Not
realising until I was already reading it that we were in a brand-new locker
room with a whole new team of players. And after meeting them and having them
so involved in this book I can't wait to see who is going to break the Serpents
Singles blood oath next and how.
Auden
and Hutch were not what I would have expected and yet I loved everything about
them. Hutch was your average hockey player, and I would have loved to have a
little more of his past. We absolutely got enough for the story I just always
want more, especially of characters I am enjoying.
Now
Auden was completely unexpected and just amazing. She was a complete boss lady.
I loved how she was all about her work and had so much success and was
unapologetic about it.
However,
when the twist hit I was disappointed. Like I understood the why's, but a lack
of communication annoys the crap out of me. And I always hate it when
sacrifices have to be made by one person. Even though the sacrifice was the
best course of action I would kill to see the next step in the future and the
sacrifice being repaid with something awesome for them.
The
book was just as I expected. Great characters, awesome secondary characters,
loads of feels and so damn hot. I didn't want to put it down. And I can't wait
to get my grabby hands on the next one.
