Hmmm I am not really sure what to say or where to start with this one. I guess I should start at the beginning and for me that is Prick. I fucking loved it. And I had to read the rest of the series and to be honest it's been a little bit of a love hate relationship.
But as far as this book goes I think Sabrina summed it up when she said it was the most over the top of the series. And I absolutely agree with her but it's fiction and I enjoyed the over the top ness of the whole thing.
I loved the main characters and I loved the lack of drama and angst. And I was drawn in and invested from the very beginning. Albie was perfectly annoying and aggravating and entitled and just perfect. And Belle was frustrating and irritating and sweet and I really liked her.
Aside from Prince Albert’s Prince Albert I also loved that he was pretty damn good at the dirty talk and there was plenty of smoking hot sex to keep my panties wet.
But what I hated and what dropped my rating was the editing. And I am not referring to grammatical errors or spelling issues, I am talking about getting characters names WRONG repeatedly. Was the bodyguards name fucking Simon or Martin? Don't call the PR lady who is previously unintroduced by the main characters names. It pisses me off when I have to re-read a page repeatedly to realise it's a fuck up and it pulls me from the book for pages. And the bodyguards name had me flipping pages and ranting to my uninterested husband.
Ok rant over. Here's the thing, despite that I really enjoyed this book. But if you're going to have the same issue I did or if you can't stand an over the top storyline then maybe give this one a miss. That said I seriously did struggle to put this down today so if you think you can ignore those things this is well worth the read.
Check out my reviews for Prick and Cannon

This really wasn't what I was expecting when I
first started this book. I mean I absolutely loved Prick and Tool so hard I
just couldn't get enough of them so there was no doubt I was going to read this
one.
But then I read the blurb and it just didn't
have the same feel as the first 2 so I put it off and put it off until finally
I caved.
I didn't not like this book I just didn't love
it. For me personally it was missing the humour and warmth that the other two
had that I really loved and wanted in
this book. But take that out and I felt like I got a story about characters I
just didn't manage to get as fully invested in.
But then maybe it's a case of its not you its
me. Since I have come off a bender of Corps Security alphas and I really just
wanted a little light and laughter and this really wasn't the book for it.

Yup
I admit it, I read it for the cover.
When
this first popped up on my gr feeds I rolled my eyes, I mean seriously how many
step sibling romances have been released this year? I mean honestly shouldn’t there be like a quota for books of a
similar theme? It feels like every other month there is an in theme and sadly
it is never whatever fad I am currently on (sure that’s probably more to do
with me being a little backwards but still seriously?)
Then
I started drooling on the cover and when my eyes unglazed I read the blurb and
figured I would dive in. I mean normally the ones I read in this theme tend to
be more on the taboo end but this one sounded interesting and a heap of people
I stalk on GR gave it pretty hot reviews so I knew it had to be good.
And
damn did I enjoy it. I think the fact they slept together before they found out
they were going to be linked through holy matrimony took the taboo right out of
it. So I was left with a hate to love story that kept me gripped and not just
cause of the smoking hot sex.
The
characters were great and I was completely absorbed by the story. Infact I
literally couldn’t put it down and when my husband dragged me kicking and
screaming to the shop so the kids wouldn’t starve to death he got a 20 minute
recap on the half of the book I had read despite him having absolutely no
interest. So I figured I would tell you all how awesome it was and hope you all
will go out and grab it and then hit me up with how much you loved it.
Anyway
I am off to check out more by this great author.
Kisses.
