Title: Wallflower
Author: Jessica Prince
Series: Redemption
Contemporary Romance; Small Town Romance; Unrequited Love

She’d spent her entire life as a wallflower, hiding from the rest of the world.
Willow Thorne had gotten really good at blending in with the wallpaper. The shy, quiet little mouse was more comfortable spending her days in her protective little bubble. Then she met a big, burly mechanic who looked really good on a motorcycle and made her feel things she’d never felt before.
Gavin “Stone” Hendrix didn’t do commitment, and love was completely out of the question. After spending the first half of his life taking care of everyone else, he was done being the responsible one. Then he met a shy, nervous brunette who knocked him off his feet and made him question everything he thought he believed.
Willow brought out his protective instincts. Stone made her want to step out of her shell.
No one in a million years expected the hard-as-stone biker to fall for the wallflower, but the small town of Redemption was in for a major surprise.

**The Redemption series is a series of interconnected, standalone, small town romances.**

It had been a good day.
Actually, that was an understatement. It had been a great day. At least until I got to my dad’s house to go through his kitchen and see what all he needed, only to discover that Elaina had seriously downplayed the need for food in his house.
I’d played it off that I was totally fine for my father’s benefit as I stewed in my anger while making a grocery list that took up the front and back of the page.
By the time I got to the store, I was in serious need of an outlet, so I cued up the Pissed Chick playlist on my phone, stuffed earbuds in my ears, and got to work. I was halfway through shopping, Alanis Morissette wailing about how you oughta know in my ears when I rounded the corner and my cart crashed into someone else’s.
“Sorry, I—” The rest of the words died in my throat when I looked up and saw the cart I’d plowed into belonged to none other than Stone himself, the very man I’d been thinking about nonstop since my talk with Lark earlier that morning. “Stone,” I said on a gasp, sucking back the air that my lungs had expelled at the mere sight of him. “Hi.”
He said something I couldn’t hear over the music ringing in my ears.
I gave him an apologetic smile and yanked the buds out of my ears. “Sorry, I didn’t hear you. What was that?”
The song had just reached the chorus, the volume so loud it carried several feet, and I could tell from the grin on his face that he definitely heard it. “Wow. Didn’t take you for an Alanis fan,” he said in that gravelly rasp that always made my skin tingle and pressure build between my thighs. What could I say? The man gave great voice. I didn’t know if male phone sex operators were a thing or not, but if they were, he could make a freaking fortune.
“Oh, uh, yeah. Sometimes. I have a playlist I like to listen to it when someone’s made me ragey.”
On cue, the song ended, and the next queued up; this time, it was Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name.”
His eyes went big at the sound of it. “You’re just full of surprises, mouse.”

Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That’s why God created central air, after all.
Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy–she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says.
In addition to being a wife and mom, she’s also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books–romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it’s a passion…there’s a difference. Not that she’d expect a boy to understand.
Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.

DINAH

When my husband died, I never thought I would find love again.

I definitely didn’t think I would find it in the arms of my younger best friend. Why would the hunky hockey player want anything to do with me? I’m a stressed out writer with a lot of baggage. Any other man would say, “HARD PASS!”

But Noah was the best man I’ve ever known, and if it wasn’t for him, I might not be alive.

But am I ready to put my heart on the line again?

NOAH

I’ve pined for my best friend for so long, that my teammates issued an ultimatum.

“Make your move now or one of us will ask her out.”

They are just trying to push me, besides none of those jerks would ever be good enough for her. Makes me wonder if I even stand a chance.

Besides, what would a smart woman like her want with a dumb jock like me?

Get ready to meet The Philadelphia Bulldogs hockey team, in this steamy and hot standalone novel. If you love sexy sports romances and friends-to-lovers with an HEA, this book is for you! CW: This book deals with miscarriage & infertility.

The Bad Boy Next Door

by Jody Holford
Publication Date: March 20, 2017
Genres: Adult, Entangled: Bliss, Contemporary, Romance

SYNOPSIS

Shay Matthews moved to Boston for a fresh start...new apartment, new job, new routine. After too many years being coddled by her overbearing older brothers, Shay’s ready for some freedom and maybe a nice, easygoing guy. She wasn’t expecting to literally run into the scowling, brooding, (and unfairly smoking hot) guy next door.

Fresh off a haunting undercover assignment, detective Wyatt Daniels is jaded about life, relationships, and especially happily-ever-after. But there’s something about the independent and beautiful Shay that makes him want to dig deeper. Or stay away, which is definitely the smarter option of the two.

But the more Shay tries to convince herself that her sweet building manager, Brady, is the guy for her, the more Mr. Completely Wrong-for-Her Wyatt invades her mind and her heart.

EXCERPT

Wyatt frowned at her as she started to remove the long coat she’d worn over the dress. “How can you scowl when you’re looking at a beautiful woman?” Brady nudged Wyatt in the arm, then removed his own jacket.
Shay had a feeling she knew exactly why he was frowning. She shook her head and handed the coat to Brady.
“Stop it. You’re looking at me like my brother Simon did when he picked me up at a party one night. I’d borrowed a dress from a friend, and he lost his mind.”
“Did it look like what you’re wearing now?” Wyatt’s voice was strained. He passed his jacket over to Brady, who looked back and forth between them.
“Why don’t I help you, O? These two need a minute to discuss their wardrobe,” Brady said.
Owen laughed, and he and Brady left them alone. Wyatt closed the distance between them.
He put his hands on her hips. “Did it?”
“Did what?”
“Did the dress your brother didn’t like look like the one you’re wearing now?”
Amusement and frustration crowded each other and Shay sighed. “You don’t like my dress?”
Wyatt’s eyes widened. “What? Are you nuts? That dress is killer. I love it. I’d just love it more if you were only wearing it for me,” he said, pulling her close.
His fingers grazed the bare skin on her back and Shay shivered. She wound her arms around his neck and went up on tiptoes. Her heart was skipping just from the sound of his lips saying the word “love.” Twice.
She kissed his cheek then whispered in his ear, “I am wearing it only for you.”
Wyatt growled with pure male appreciation and tightened his hold on her. “You sure you don’t want to just
go home?”
She smiled and pulled back, taking his hand. “No way. I want to socialize and meet people. I want to look at art, hold your hand, and drink champagne.”
The affection in his gaze as they walked toward the curved staircase made her breath catch in her throat. He squeezed her hand in his own. “Partway there. Let’s get something to drink.”

ABOUT LINDSEY FRYDMAN

Lindsey has been writing since she was nine years old, when she discovered the awesomeness that is Harriet the Spy. Her books always include a romance, though sometimes there’s an added sci-fi or magical realism twist. She lives in Columbus, Ohio (where the weather is never quite right). Her BFA in Photography and Graphic Design has granted her a wide assortment of creative knowledge that serves as inspiration (and not much else). When she’s not crafting YA and NA stories, you’ll likely find her spending waaay too much time on Pinterest, playing a video game, singing show-tunes, or performing in a burlesque show—because she enjoys giving her introversion a worthy adversary. (Plus, it’s the closest to Broadway she’ll ever get.) Lindsey was a proud 2016 Pitch Wars Mentee and thoroughly adores being a part of the wonderful writing community. THE HEARTBEAT HYPOTHESIS is her debut novel.

Wow, just wow.

It was always a given that Ally's story would be amazing. From the minute we met her she was this bright light of sweet and caring and she looked out for everyone regardless of their failings and faults with complete love and no judgement and having met her beautiful parents you could see why.

When it was announced that we had already met her partner speculation was that it would be Molly's old flame from England. And I figured that could work. I mean I wasn't a huge fan but he could warm up a little and we didn't know much of him so sweet, books written. Ummm wrong.

Elpi could not have been further from him. And realizing it was Axel and having seen all he had done and where he was coming from I just couldn't reconcile him with our beautiful Ally.

I mean don't get me wrong I knew Ally wouldn't judge and I knew if anyone could see passed the obvious negatives to the heart beneath it would be Ally I just wanted so much more, so much better. Knowing her this long and seeing how truly pure of soul she was I wanted epic for her.

But of course as is par for the series the asshole is never set in marble (see what I did there? huh did ya?) and as Tillie peeled away at his layers and showed us his side of his past sins my heart broke and I couldn't help but love him.

I think Axel genuinely broke my heart. I sat reading this book with floods if tears pouring down my face waiting for him to look around and see what he could have. I just wanted to scream at him "fucking tell them all already and let them love you, you idiot." I love that his road to redemption wasn't easy and I love that it didn't happen because of any one thing.

The depth of character here was astounding and seeing things in past tense from Axel's point of view after we had seen how it affected his brothers and other previous characters just made this book go from perfect to epic.

Although I am devastated to see this series finish I don't think it could have been better. And I will forever bow at the feet of Tillie Cole for giving us the stories of Rome and Molly, Cassie and Jimmy-Don, Lexi and Austin. And for also giving us perfection at every turn with this series.

So until I get the balls up to read her other books I guess I will continue to rant over this Sweet series.
