BLURB
BEN
Seven days to find myself a wife, or my best friend gets my company.
All because of a stupid, drunken bet.
Charming a woman into marrying me should be easy.
And it would’ve been,
if Jake wasn’t doing everything in his power to sabotage me,
like stranding me on a boat full of horny pensioners—including our moms.
But Jake’s little sister, Liv, tagged along.
Under any other circumstance, I’d never go there.
But if he’s going to play dirty,
then so am I.
LIV
I haven’t seen Ben since I was fourteen years old.
Until last night, when he tried picking me up in a bar.
He had no idea who I was then, but he certainly knows now.
Second chances don’t come around often,
but I don’t think I’m supposed to take this one.
He’s my brother’s best friend, and he’s off-limits.
No matter how much I want to go there.

EXCERPT
“Shall we test that theory, then?”
I jump at the sound of the sexy British accent coming from behind me in the next booth. There’s a familiarity to his voice that catches me off guard, but I can’t quite place where I know it from. I swallow, because Tara wasn’t kidding about the accent thing and this guy sounds like a snack.
Oh shit. Tara. He must’ve been eavesdropping on our conversation.
“What theory is that?” I ask, both annoyed and embarrassed.
Then I tell myself off for getting ahead of myself, because I don’t even know for sure he overheard our conversation—
“The one where your will panties soak at the sound of my accent.”
Okay. Now I’m sure.
“What, no response?” he teases. “We can talk about something else if you want. Like how your friend abandoned you?”
“She’s getting our drinks,” I reply.
“This has got to be the longest drink collection in history,” he remarks. “And I’m pretty sure I saw her disappear around the back with the guy behind the bar.”
I’m not sure whether to believe him or not, but she has been gone awhile, and I’m more than a little worried she’s been kicked out for being underaged.
Me: Did you get caught?
Tara: Sorry. Distracted. Turns out Germans really do have long tongues ;)
I groan inwardly and set my phone down on the table.
Way, way too much information.
“Yeah, she’s abandoned me,” I grumble.
“I guess I’ll join you, then.”
I sit straight upright, because suddenly, he’s right there, sliding into my booth across from me. My eyes widen, because this isn’t just some random guy trying to hit on me. It’s Ben, my brother’s best friend, the source of the rumors all those years ago, and the one person I didn’t want to run into. Ever.
I silently curse Tara for choosing this bar of all places, and then I hold my breath and wait for the recognition to spark in his eyes, but it doesn’t. I stare right at him and he smiles back, his lopsided grin enough to send my heart into overdrive. My heart thumps as it hits me.
He has no idea who I am.
“Are you okay?”
I jump at the sound of his voice and force myself to nod.
That accent sounds so fake now that I know it’s Ben. I have to stop myself from laughing. Is this what he does, hang around in bars, pretending to be someone he isn’t just so he can pick up? I shiver at the thought of going home with him, because silly accent aside, he’s still the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen.
He’s even hotter than he was the last time I saw him, which was almost six years ago. Those intense green eyes feel like they’re penetrating my soul and every now and then he casually rakes his long fingers through his dark, short cropped hair. When he rubs his lightly stubbled jaw, I lean forward as my nipples harden against the raw silk of my top.
“Cold?” he smirks.
I go red.
He nods at my arms in explanation. “Goosebumps.”
Oh.
“I’m Ben, by the way.”
“I’m…Louise,” I finish, using my middle name instead of Liv.
“Louise,” he repeats, my name rolling off his tongue. I swallow, because my middle name has never sounded so sexy. “So, you’re alone and I’m alone …”
“It appears that way,” I squeak.
“So…” His eyes meet mine. “No panties, huh?”
Oh god.
I’m so embarrassed. I look away and immediately wish I hadn’t. My heart races as I spot Jake walking toward the exit. When he stops and turns around, I do the only thing I can think of; slide under the table until I’m on the floor, much to the amusement of Ben.
He peers down between his legs, a smirk on his lips, like he’s trying to work out what the hell I’m doing. My face flames, because God only knows what he’s thinking—probably that all his dreams are about to come true.
“I’m not going to lie, this has taken a turn I wasn’t expecting,” he admits.
“Don’t flatter yourself,” I snap, my face even redder. “I dropped an earring.”
Really? That’s what I’m going with?
“You dropped an earring?” he repeats, a bemused smile on his face. “Is that even a thing? Do earrings really pop out at the most inconvenient of moments that leave you crouching between the legs of your date?” He leans down so we’re face to face. “Funny, looks to me like you have both earrings where they should be.”
“Date?” I chortle, conveniently ignoring his observation. “When did this become a date?”
“When your friend abandoned you and I felt obligated to step in?” he suggests.

Standing on the balcony, outside my boss’s apartment,
wearing only my underwear?
Not how I expected to start my Saturday morning.
I guess I should’ve thought harder about going home with my sexy new gym instructor, especially since I had no idea the guy was married. When he pushed me out onto the balcony, five seconds before his wife walked through the door, I jumped one apartment over because I thought it would be less embarrassing for a stranger to find me than his wife.
That was a smart move.
So here I am, wearing next to nothing and freezing my ass off, standing outside the living room window of my young, sexy, and very intimidating boss, Chase Winston.
I have two choices: I sit here and try to think of another way out of this and risk dying of hypothermia. Or I can suck it up and knock on that window. After a long, internal argument with myself, I choose
option two.
Here goes nothing…

Excerpt
“Seriously, did you see the way she looked at me when she
told me not to stuff it up?” I huff, stalking back over to Peyton. “Like, God forbid
I put two sugars in his damn coffee instead of one. Hey, maybe I should slip
some laxatives in there?” I say with an evil grin. “I mean, he walks around
like he’s got something lodged up his ass, maybe all he needs is a good,
old-fashioned cleanout.”
“Lanna—”
“No. I don’t care how ridiculously sexy he is or how dreamy those blue eyes are
to stare into,” I say, cutting her off.
I was on a roll, and Peyton wasn’t going to stop me. I have two years’ worth of
frustration to vent, and it’s all coming out now, one way or another.
“He’s an asshole to everyone here but Jade, and I bet that’s only because she’s
sucking his cock. Not that I wouldn’t go there if he asked me to—”
“Lanna,” Peyton hisses, her eyes wide.
“Oh, come on, like you wouldn’t suck his cock too,” I retort, nodding knowingly
at her. “Hey, maybe we could tag team him.”
We’d had a lengthy discussion about this a few weeks ago over a bottle of
tequila, so I knew exactly what she wanted to do with that ten inches of pure
stiff muscle. And I thought I was the dirty one. I
chuckle to myself and turn around. My heart skips a beat when I spot Chase
leaning against Jade’s desk. He smirks at me and casually lifts one eyebrow.
Oh, god no.
My heart pounds as I wait for him to react. This can’t be happening. I cannot
believe I just said that. Well, I can believe it, because I say shit like that
every day, but not when he’s standing right behind me. I glare at Peyton, who
releases a snort and then flushes, bowing her head. Chase’s eyes don’t leave me
as I glance around the room, praying for an escape, but there isn’t one.
It’s like a scene from a really bad movie. With any luck, he’ll drag me outside
and throw me on the back of his bike and take me somewhere to have his way with
me. Or his office will do just fine.
“Is Jade here?” he asks, directing his question at me, his smooth, deep voice
making me shiver.
I shake my head, incapable of speaking. I think it’s worse that he’s ignoring
the obvious issue of my outburst. I’d almost prefer for him to say something
about it. Anything. Almost... He nods, and then walks over to the door,
stopping just as he reaches it. I brace myself as he turns his attention back
to me.
“Alana?” he asks.
I force myself to meet his steel blue eyes, wishing he didn’t find this so damn
amusing.
“Yes?” I whisper, feeling sick. God, I am so embarrassed.
“While I appreciate your attentiveness to my health, I can assure you that
everything is functioning just as it should. Maybe you should focus more on
your job and less on things that don’t concern you?” he asks lightly. “Like who
is and isn’t sucking my cock.”
He walks out, briskly closing the door behind him.
I stumble over to my desk and slump down onto my chair, my eyes wide. I breathe
out, feeling dazed. My heart’s racing and I’m feeling a mixture of extreme
nausea and embarrassment over the whole situation. Every time I think about
what I just said, more or less to his face, I
want to throw up.
Peyton rushes over to me, both panicked and trying not to laugh, which under
any other circumstance would be a funny combination. I glare at her, which sets
her off.
“I’m so sorry,” she giggles, shaking her head. “I swear I’m not laughing at
you, but that just made my fucking day.”
“I’m glad I can be a source of amusement for you,” I grumble, my tone sour.
“At least he knows your name now.” she offers, her eyes twinkling.
I scowl at her. I think I preferred it when he didn’t.

Excerpt
“Who the hell books a flight for seven a.m.?” I grumble under my breath as I hoist my suitcase out from the boot of the taxi. I toss a twenty through the open window of the driver’s seat, telling him to keep the change. The whole twenty cents. Yeah, I’m generous like that.
I’ve barely slept, which I guess is good considering the eighteen-hour flight I have ahead of me. Unless she’s going to want to talk the whole way, in which case no sleep is bad. Of course she is. Women always want to talk. Dying women probably take that to a whole other level. I chastise myself for being so insensitive. Let’s see if I can get through this trip without offending the girl. Or more realistically, let’s see if I can get through the week.
I stroll through departures, scanning the crowd for Erin. I’ve only met her twice now, but she was kind of unforgettable—hot in a she-has-no-idea-how-hot-she-is kind of way. Even that first time, all wet and dishevelled, she was mesmerizing.
My eyes fall on her and a smile tugs at my lips. She’s bent over her open bag, her long blond hair hanging loosely over her shoulder. It feels kind of wrong that I’m checking her out, given her situation, but I can’t help myself. I give it another minute before I walk over to join her.
“Hey,” I say.
She jumps, straightening up. Her face reddens when she faces me.
“You’re supposed to do the packing thing at home,” I tease her. Half her luggage is dumped onto the floor next to her, and I love that she doesn’t seem to give a shit.
“I’m looking for something,” she retorts, narrowing her stunning blue eyes.
I raise my eyebrows curiously and grin.
“It’s not important.”
“It obviously is,” I argue. I’m enjoying playing with her. “And the fact that you don’t want to tell me what it is makes me wonder…”
“Well stop wondering,” she replies. “If you want to do something useful, help me zip this up. It’s stuck.” She bends back over and gives the zip a yank, as if to prove her point.
“It’s stuck because you have this caught in it.” I grab hold of the offending material and back the zipper up. It releases, and I proudly hold it up. “Lacy and transparent,” I say when I realise I’m holding a pair of her panties. I let out a low whistle. “I’m impressed.”
She blushes and snatches them out of my hand, shoving them back in her suitcase. She zips it closed and glares at me. “I’m beginning to regret this already,” she growls.
“Never regret lacy panties, Erin,” I tease. “But seriously, I’m just messing with you. This trip will be great. Trust me. We’ll have fun.”

When I first read the blurb for this book I
really wanted to read it but I knew my big girl panties would need to be pulled
right up. It was obvious from the blurb that this was going to be one of those
huge ugly cry books that need a bottle of wine and a box of tissues.
So when Missy offered me an ARC I was so wanting
to read it and so scared to read it but I couldn’t say no. When it landed on my
kindle my 16 year old daughter immediately stole it and read it and I can now
officially tell you that little monster must be adopted. Why? After she
finished the book she said “It was awesome you will love it.” Sounds good so
far right? Yup, but when I asked was it sad will I cry like a baby? Her
response was “it was sad and not what I expected but I didn’t cry at all
when I read it.”
Cool I thought, I will read it while the boys
have basketball training, what can go wrong? Well in short I cried and I cried
and I fucking cried while messaging my husband to make sure our daughter
doesn’t ever get to make any important end of life kind of decisions over us.
Since obviously her feelings button is so broken.
From page one I was a mess yet so completely
addicted. I mean damn how do you face the end of your life at 24? Well in Erin’s
case she did it not just with dignity and grace but also with a heap of
compassion for her friends and family but also with a kick arse sense of humour and
a need to live every last minute of it to the fullest and I adored her. She was
amazeballs.
Cade was one of those characters who grew on me.
At the start he had so much of his own drama going on but when it’s literally
written on the pages next to a girl facing the end of her life I just wanted to
junk punch him and tell him to suck it up. But before you think he is an
insensitive acehole once he met her he put his own shit into perspective pretty
quickly and he was just beautiful.
The best part of this book for me was that
despite the fact I cried buckets of tears reading it I also laughed out loud (yes
I looked like a crazy person but the basketball mums are used to me now so the
men in white jackets weren’t called). The amount of pure emotions that were
pulled out of me reading this book stunned me.
Ok so I am not in anyway going to tell you how
the story ends since from the blurb my daughter and I both had completely
different ideas on how this all was going to go and I think you need to
experience it yourself but what I will tell you is that all the drama that Cade
went through and overcame with the help of the perfect Erin was so well wrapped
up with one big fucking exception but even my vengeful little conscience can
understand and forgive that.
So for now I am off to buy a bottle of wine and
maybe look into some kind of therapy for my normally lovely daughter.

Stripping. Chicks love that shit, right?
At first, the guys are skeptical, but we’re a good looking group of men who who’ve been known to bust out a dance move or two, so we decide to go for it.
When Max offers his kid sister up for choreography, I think, great. We can use all the help we can get. The last time I saw Aubrey she was a loudmouthed twelve-year-old who wouldn’t leave me alone. Now, she’s twenty and possibly the sexiest woman I’ve ever laid eyes on.
Max has made it clear that his sister is off limits to me, because apparently, I have a reputation. He says he has enough to worry about without me chasing his sister.
Fine, I can respect that.
But I’m not sure she can.

About Missy Johnson
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Missy lives in a small town in Victoria, Australia with her husband and her confused pets (a dog who thinks that she is a cat, a cat who thinks he is a dog…you get the picture). When she’s not writing, she can usually be found looking for something to read.About Ashley Suzanne
Ashley Suzanne has been writing as long as she can remember. As a youngster, she was always creating stories and talking to her imaginary friends. Thankfully, her parents also carried this love of fiction, and helped her grow into the writer she is today.
Ashley is a bestselling author and spends equal amounts of time writing and reading. Being the true book whore she is, Ashley would rather dive into a good book before going out of her house. Giving up her career in Real Estate, Ashley has officially moved to hermit status. When Ashley isn't coming up with her next story, you'll most likely find her on the couch with a kindle in her hand (probably watching some crappy reality show while , annoying her husband by telling him all about her new book boyfriend or spending quality time with her two gremlins ... Sorry, I mean adorable children.
