Natasha
Madison has absolutely mastered these massive, interconnected families and I am
here for it. I love everything about it. Every time I pick up one of her books,
I know I'll get all the feels, see a heap of over involved family members we
have already met and put the book down happy.
Zara has
been engaged for what feels like forever, but her fiancé never showed up. So,
we didn't really ever get a feel for him and then we see why. He literally took acehole to a whole new level. Luckily for Zara there was family a plenty to
swoop in and send her off to recover.
Even luckier
for Zara was that she bumped into Gabriel, and he was beautiful. From their
first meeting the sparks were flying. And they fit together so perfectly I
couldn't get enough of them. There were a few times they needed to use their
adult words and communicate. But they got there in the end.
The story
was sweet and steamy, and I just wanted to stay living in it. I can't wait for
the next one.
It's funny because for me Natasha Madison is a go
to author for a book that's going to be easy to get lost in and leave me with a
smile. Then I saw a few early reviews for this saying how emotional it was, and
I got nervous. I am not in the head space for a book that's going to leave me
ugly crying in my bed. I have a six year old demon child for that 😉
But once I picked this up, I just wanted to stay
wrapped up in it. Honestly, I figured out half of Koda’s reluctance to have
anything to do with Christopher before I started reading. The other half was
not even slightly what I was expecting, yet it was written so well that I felt
it. And by the end of the first chapter, I was wanting Benji to be hit by a Zamboni.
Watching Koda deal with the fall out of Benji's
death but also having to drop the pretence of Benji's life with the friends who
thought they had known him was emotional. But I think I escaped being too upset
by it because I was so mad at Benji. And it helped that Christopher was too,
especially when he realised that he never really knew his best friend.
Koda and Christopher came together so naturally.
And the way he loved the girls had me all warm and fuzzy. As always, the family
was awesome and hilarious and there for everyone. And Christopher gave such
awesome book boyfriend vibes I loved every minute of reading this book. Even
when I had to wipe away a few tears, I knew smiles were going to follow.
And now we go back to waiting for the next book.
Although from the little tease at the end I think we are in for some fireworks.

Meet Natasha Madison:
When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…

Madison is such a one click, always know I’m going to get the feels but put the
book down with a smile, author. And this series is just another one of her
series that is super interconnected with all of the previous ones. So, picking
it up feels like getting a warm hug and going back in time to be reminded of
all of her previous awesome characters. And I love the predictability of
knowing I love the writing; I love the characters and I know I’m going to love
the story. Even if I am going to read the book wondering when certain things
are going to happen and then getting little surprises and easter eggs all the
way through.
Nash &
Zoey I really can’t remember much of either of them from previous books but
mainly because they were secondary and even though I love the secondary
characters, I am always so focused on the main couple. But from the first
mention of Zoey, I could almost see love hearts float out of Nash’s eyes and I
lived for it. Having this in dual point of view, Nash’s feelings for Zoey were
so obvious and instant. There was never any doubt he would win her over, even
if he had to go to the ends of the earth to do it.
Obviously,
Zoey wasn’t privy to Nash’s inner monologue like we all were and I can
absolutely understand her being confused by her own doubts and insecurities.
Especially since we were privy to hers as well so seeing how she was feeling
and what she was thinking made it very easy to see where her mind was
going.
I loved
everything about this story and despite smiling for 90% of the book, I did shed
a few tears. Mainly because I’m a big sook and not because there was any major
reason to do so. And as expected I put it down feeling the warm fuzzies and
dying to get my hands on Zara’s book.

From Wall Street Journal and USA TODAY bestselling author Natasha Madison comes a brand new sports romance.
A spin-off from the Hollywood Playboy & This Is Crazy.
Ryleigh
Growing up in Hollywood, I was surrounded by liars and phonies.
So when I got my law degree, I knew I wanted to work as a district attorney.
Busy days turned to long nights—I was on my way up the ladder.
Then he happened.
Bullied his way into my life as if there was no choice.
Suddenly everything I thought I wanted wasn’t as important.
Stone
I had one thing on my mind and that was never going to change: The game.
The only goal I had was beating the records set by my family.
I didn’t have time for anything else.
Until she walked in the room.
The earth shifted, just like the stories said it would.
I said it wouldn’t happen—not to me.
I didn’t have the time, but now she was the only thing on my mind.
I knew it was her.
Now I had to convince her.

Life
has been hitting pretty hard this month so, when this popped up on my kindle, I
was also excited. I can always count on Natasha Madison to make me smile and
fall madly in love with her characters. And for the OG family members to throw
in some background shenanigans to make me laugh and reminisce about their
stories. Or check out Goodreads to see if I've read the book with whatever
family members are currently part of above-mentioned shenanigans.
What
I honestly didn't expect was how freaking hot this book got so quickly. It
started off with a tease and a six-month separation and I thought ok we are
going to get a slow burn with loads of banter and phone conversations. Then
next thing I knew I was jumping online to check out some new friends for my
drawer and borrowing my husband for a minute.
Ryleigh
was so driven and accomplished that I wasn't sure how they could possibly make
it work. Then bam Stone comes up with the book boyfriend move of the century
and I was all swoony and loving him. But it just wasn't to be, and I swung just
as quickly to wanting to kick him in the jewels.
Luckily
for me after Natasha took me through all the feels and we got the annual family
holiday as our epilogue location. And I almost put the book down with a smile
but then she took the breath right out of me. Stone and Ryleigh ended
beautifully but man I am reading the next book armed and loaded with wine,
chocolate and tissues.
