Ok
I cried about having to wait ten days for this book, and yes it was worth the
wait but seriously by the time I could read this book all my kids became needy
little jerks. It took me so long to read this book and all I wanted to do was
hide away and not adult while I read it.
Crew
was a bit of a wild card because all we really knew about him was that he had
me desire to return to Madigan Mountain, but he was doing so for his brother's
wedding. And Raven we kind of knew as a background character and little else.
But
once I got to know a little more about them both I really liked them. They were
both nursing some old wounds and not wanting to get hurt. And they both
couldn't deny the chemistry between them. Together they were so awesome, and I
couldn't get enough of them. Crew's support and gentle pushing of Raven was so sincere,
and it just made him that much better.
I
absolutely adored the bonus epilogue and I'm so sad to leave the mountain. This
has been another perfect collaboration between three truly amazing authors. And
whether you read one of these books or all of them you are getting nothing but
gold.

Nine years ago, Weston Madigan saved me. I came to Colorado penniless, heartbroken, and pregnant, searching for a fresh start. Weston gave me a job at his family’s resort, then left the next day and never returned, not even to visit.
Then I stumble in on Weston cooking breakfast shirtless—gloriously, inappropriately shirtless—in the shared kitchen of my duplex in employee housing. Given the shock on both our faces, he wasn’t expecting a roommate either, let alone two.
The growly pilot is only home to start his family’s new heli-skiing operation. I can handle being his temporary roommate, right? Chemistry and attraction aren’t impossible to ignore when you agree on ground rules. Besides, even with those gorgeous, brooding brown eyes, the guy is a walking thundercloud…until my daughter, Sutton, makes him laugh and he smiles at me. Then everything changes. Cue inconvenient heart flip.
This is only temporary.
I can’t fall for Weston.
Will. Not. Fall. For. Weston.
But rules go out the window when you’re a little too close.
Rebecca loves military heroes and has been blissfully married to hers for over twenty years. She’s the mother of six children, and is currently surviving the teenage years with three of her four hockey-playing sons. When she’s not writing, you can find her at the hockey rink or sneaking in some guitar time while guzzling coffee. She and her family live in Colorado with their stubborn English bulldogs, two feisty chinchillas, and a Maine Coon kitten named Artemis, who rules them all.
Having fostered then adopted their youngest daughter who is nonverbal and on the autism spectrum, Rebecca is passionate about helping children in the foster system through her nonprofit, One October, which she co-founded with her husband in 2019. To learn more about their mission to better the lives of kids in foster care, visit www.oneoctober.org.
I was so blessed to be able to pick this up as soon as I put down A Little too Late. And I feel that doubly as I want nothing more than to dive into Crew’s book, but I have to wait. And I really feel like I am going to crawl out of my skin in those long twelve days. Collaborations between these three authors really need a few days away because once I open the first one my head isn't returning from Madigan Mountain for a while.
I
knew going in that I was going to love this and hang on every word but somehow,
I still wasn't prepared for the full emotional ride I went on. Which is just
stupid because I love Rebecca's writing so much for that exact reason. The
chemistry between West and Callie was electrifying. The depth of each of them
ensured I would instantly love them.
It's
weird having a parent’s perspective on your childhood experiences sometimes and
reading this book I got to see that in both characters and I loved it. I really
loved the journey Weston went through in returning to his childhood home and
confronting his childhood traumas with the vision of an adult. And having
Callie's gentle support to show him the person he could be.
Callie
was just wonderful. She was the best example of a single mother, living life on
her own terms. I couldn't get enough of her bravery in putting herself out
there and going after her dreams. And the strength it takes to re-examine her
dreams and chase the new ones. And Sutton was such an integral part of the
story, which just added to it. Because let's be honest, as parents, EVERYTHING
revolves around the kids, and if you don't believe me, try using the bathroom
when you have a toddler.
The
worst part about this is having to put it down and not being able to call these
awesome people up to come have a glass of wine and catch up. Because I was so
wrapped up in the story I forgot I wasn't part of that world. Oh well, luckily
for me I get to cuddle my own hero while I tell him all about the book and he
pretends to give a shit.
New from twenty-time USA Today bestseller Sarina Bowen!
How to behave when the guy who broke your heart two thousand miles away turns up in your office:
One: Don’t drop your lucky coffee cup in shock, even though it’s been ten years.
Two: Don’t get defensive when he asks how you ended up working his family’s ski mountain… and why you kept it a secret.
Three: Give him the worst room in the resort. He deserves it for suddenly waltzing back in like he owns the place. (Which he kind of does.)
Four, five, six, seven, eight and nine: Do not kiss him in the hot tub.
Ten: Try to keep your heart intact after you break all of your rules.
Because Reed is leaving again. Hate can't turn back into love. And it’s a little too late…

The
first time these three authors collaborated they were two of my utmost
favourite authors and another I had never read. And I read both of their books
as soon as they released, bought the third book, and never read it. Since then,
I have become a massive fan of the third author and when I saw this collaboration,
I was so excited. It feels like I have waited forever to finally get my hands
on this book. But it was well worth the wait.
Obviously,
Sarina Bowen can write. Everything she writes is like a master class in making
me have all the feels. And a second chance romance that made me cry and feel
sorry for both characters is something to cherish. Because I put the book down
and I just want to gush to everyone how awesome it is.
Ava
and Reed had both been through the wringer and I just wanted to make everything
better. But obviously that was up to Sarina, and she did such an incredible job
I couldn't put the book down. I was sure we would get to our HEA but there was
so much to be worked out to get there. And I couldn't wait to see how it was
all going to work out. And most of the things on my bingo card didn't get
called.
I'm
so thrilled I have the next book on my kindle ready to go. I just don't know
how I'm going to wait for the third one but buckle in family it's going to be a
really long two weeks of me waiting.
