SNEAK PEEKS:

“So you’re saying I have to give up all the dicks?”
“Yeah. All the dicks. That’s my price.”
I sighed. “For how long?”
She pressed her lips together. “Two months.”
My eyebrows shot up. “Two months!”
“Yep. Just to give yourself time to D-tox,” she quipped, over-annunciating the D.
I grinned and shook my head. “That’s cute. You think that all up on your own?”
She chuckled. “Clearly I’ve been hanging out with you way too much.”

“Problem?” he asked, looking down at me as he sheathed his perfect erection.
I turned back to the desk and shook my head. “Uh-huh.”
“You sure?”
I nodded. “No, it’s fine. I just… forgot how big you are. You sure you wouldn’t rather have a blow job?”
He leaned into me again, his lips against my ear. “Believe me, as much as I’ve fantasized about shoving my dick in your mouth to shut you up, I’m not entirely convinced you wouldn’t bite it off.”

From the first time I read the blurb for this book I have been intrigued. I added it to my TBR list and sadly it promptly got lost in the pile until I spotted it on Netgalley and decided to apply for it and bam there it was on my kindle all bright and shiny begging me to read it.

And from the first page I was hooked. The subject matter was unique and I just kept turning the pages dying to find out what was going to happen next and for the first time in the history of forever I was reading about a naïve virgin and not rolling my eyes or swearing about how fucking bullshit it was that we were expected to believe this beautiful lady had made it to the ripe old age of 30 with her cherry firmly in place without either being a major arsehole or having a personality as exciting as plain bread.

But Natalie was so real, I felt her story and thought fuck yeah that would stop me from getting laid too (ok so maybe not me but other people) From the start I felt like she was someone I could know and she was so nice and perfectly not perfect that I was automatically rooting for her and wanting her to get everything she deserved.

And now there is Ryan. Damn did my mouth water at the description of Mr Andrews. I just wanted to rip him off the pages and have him show me his surrogacy skills. But then he was a bit of a dick, and while I can kinda sympathize with his choices I so wanted to junk punch him for them at the same time. But luckily for him he sorted his shit out and made everything right in my happy little book world again.

So as that all sounds I really liked this story it was great and then throw in a few very sexy scenes a bit of dirty talk and I was in heaven except for a few minor points that I am hoping will be cleared up for me in book 2 which thankfully is out now. YAY

But for now you really need to try this book out while I race over to one click book 2.

The Lessons was the first time I had ever picked up a book by Elizabeth Brown and being the first time I had read about a sexual surrogate I went into it a little timidly. But I really liked it and then I saw there was a second book and I just had to get my dirty little hands on it.

Now in all honesty I had to read it then and there or my goldfish memory would make me forget who was who and what I was hoping to get out of the second book. Plus it would end up slowly slipping down my TBR mountain until I forgot all about it, so I promptly went to beg netgalley and bam woke up with The Rules all ready to go. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

First I want to say that it can 100% be read as a stand alone but if you are like me and a little anal about your reading order read the first one first cause there’s a few things that add context. But if you are like me and read a series in a day and get frustrated they keep going over the same shit, don't panic it absolutely didn't happen like that here. Being told from a different character not involved in the initial couple made you see it all from a new perspective and damn was it awesome.

I went in thinking I knew who Ainsley was but I discovered I knew who her brother thought she was and seriously I was so far off base it was awesome. And Lambo, well yeah he was the huge man whore I thought he was but you all know how much I love those and fuck he was amazing.

“I get it, man. I get it. It’s not a sacrifice. When you’re with the right person, the best thing is being with that person. Hell, the only thing is being with that person. You don’t want to do anything else. You don’t want to be with anyone else. I’d rather watch paint dry with Ainsley than get my dick sucked by any other chick—”

There were so many issues raised in this book that were done so perfectly I spent so much time with a goofy grin on my face as I read it and even though I cried I went straight back to laughing and smiling and I could not fault the emotions or the characters feelings or actions. It was just fucking perfect.

Only negative thing I can say and I probably should admit I am a very vengeful person first, is I really wanted to see some people from book 1 fall down some stairs and/or maybe get hit by a bus and they were not. In fact they literally weren’t even mentioned in this book which I guess was punishment enough and I didn’t notice they didn’t get shat on by a thousand elephants until the end so I guess it’s not really an issue. But yeah I am a little mean like that. Oh well, maybe that will happen in book 3 or 4. Fingers crossed.

But truly this book was fucking awesome. Lambo was the king of sweet smutty whispers so before you read it have your panty changes ready or you know commando that shit. Be prepared to lose a day or two cause you won't be able to put it down and even once you do you will be unable to pick up a new book cause you won't be able to stop obsessing over how much you want a Lam of your own.

Anyway seriously stop reading my shit and go one click the book. Seriously best money you can spend this week.
