Rally by Devney Perry is now live!

An accidental pregnancy, small town, sports romance from Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author, Devney Perry.

Pregnant. Homeless. Broke. Not what I’d expected for my senior year in college. Neither was Rush Ramsey.

We met the day I went camping and got stranded on the side of a gravel road. I didn’t believe in white knights who freed damsels in distress. Life had taught me that if something bad could happen, it probably would. The only person who would save me was me.

But Rush Ramsey rescued me that day. He was sweet and kind and charming. He made a dark, starry night a little less lonely.

I should have realized it was too good to be true. That an incredible night of passion would come with consequences. That the bad luck rollercoaster I’d been riding for twenty-one years wasn’t ready to stop.

Because Rush Ramsey, Treasure State University’s most eligible bachelor and quarterback extraordinaire, just got me pregnant.

I always finish these books and feel like an idiot for putting off reading them and wanting to jump into the next one immediately. And then I one click the next one and get off tangent and take forever to pick it up and read it. Rinse and repeat. But I came to the Devney Perry party late and I started them and somehow ended up reading 3 different series and crossing over all the characters in my head.

I remember Sabrina showing up at the end of the last book. I know we got a fair lot of Beau previously, but I don't really remember much about him due to my terrible memory. But it honestly doesn't matter, these books are all beautiful slices of their own that don't really need to be read in order. Except for the timelines for the crossover characters.

Beau and Sabrina were so different, I didn't know how they could work. But their instant connection couldn't have been written any better. Sabrina was so strong, and I seriously admired her and the way she dealt with everything. Even when I wanted to scream at her for the way she acted, I couldn't.

The story flowed so smoothly, and I enjoyed getting lost in it. And unsurprisingly I'm wanting to jump right into the next one. Although I also got a little tiny tease for a different series and there's a new one coming soon and some others, I still have on my kindle so I'll probably get there later.

Blitz by Devney Perry is now live!

A forbidden, small town, sports romance from Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Devney Perry.

A coach. A student. The rules were concrete. We broke them anyway.

The night I met Toren Greely was the night I learned how to lie. He was a Treasure State football coach. I was the star of the volleyball team. Coaches and students were forbidden. My future was on the line, so I told myself it was only one night.

That was the first lie. They got easier to tell after that. The lines blurred. The boundaries shifted. Our relationship became a game of its own.

A chaste smile. A knowing glance. A veiled touch or a hushed kiss. We hid in plain sight. We were invincible. Or so we thought. Neither of us saw the blitz coming until it was too late.

Game over. The night I left Toren Greely was the night I learned how to lose.

I feel like I've waited for this book forever. Luckily for me I picked up this series about halfway in, so I haven't been waiting as long as some but from the first introduction to the Eden's I was hooked. And having to wait for the lovely Devney to write them was akin to torture in my brain. As soon as this one was released, I grabbed it on audible so I could listen to it while still adulting.

The narration was awesome. I love dual narration. I have to admit since it has been a minute since I read the last one it did take me a few chapters to get up to speed on Vera. Then it all hit me like a freight train, and I was completely immersed in finding out more. Obviously, I knew her secrets and back story from Vance but to hear it from her was heartbreaking.

The blurb on this also tripped me up. Because I knew Matteo and kind of knew his story, but I had this image in my head of him being cold and uninterested in Vera from the way I interpreted it. Then the book started, and I didn't get the feelings I was expecting. Matteo was so there, and I couldn't get enough of him.

Plus, I love that Vera saw Matteo so beautifully yet was so clueless at the same time. Although the same was true for Matteo. So, once they got on the same page it was beautiful. The whole relationship progressed so perfectly I couldn't find fault in any of it. There was no drama or misunderstanding.

The way everything was tied up with her father was super cute. Not the perfect romantic ending you might expect but just beautiful closure of the chapter. And I loved the epilogue, but that bonus epilogue was the perfect cherry on the top. Thankfully I still have a few of Devney’s other books on my TBR so I won't go crazy waiting to see what's up next now that our Eden's are all done. Next generation wouldn't be a bad idea though, just saying.

This book just reinforces the fact I have no chill. I have been anxiously awaiting this since I read the epilogue in the last one and was going to grab it from KU. Then I got my subscription email from the talented Devney Perry and saw it was already available on audible. So, I bought it and listened to it in one sitting. #sorrynotsorry.

Lyla has always been a stable, level-head in the Eden family and was very easy to like from a distance without much thought. So having her as the heroine and getting a more in-depth look into her was beautiful. She was so level-headed and realistic and looked at things logically while still acknowledging that she felt all the feels. I loved her.

I have to admit Vance started on the back foot a little with me, but I quickly got over my reservations and fell in love with him too. He was so upfront, and no BS and I enjoyed the fact he just put it out there but with the utmost respect for everyone else and how they might feel or react.

I did figure out pretty quickly the twist, but I didn't see it playing out quite how it did. Although I did enjoy watching it happen. And the epilogue and teaser for the next book has me dying to get my hands on it. Please.

I put off reading this book after I put down the last book because I had this impression of Felicity, and I wasn't sure I would like her story. So, I had it sitting on my kindle taunting me every time I tried to figure out what I was going to read next. I am so glad I just dove into.

First the story didn't go at all as I was expecting. And since everything we already knew about Felicity was from other people's perspectives, I quickly discovered my opinion on her was biased. Once I got to know her and her history, I loved her and was team Felicity.

Silas was the perfect man for Felicity. And he just kept proving it over and over. I loved that they were both prepared to fight for their relationship. Especially after the way things had fallen apart the first time around. I felt all of their history and chemistry and fell in love with them along the journey.

There's also been a great addition of new characters that I can't wait to see more of in the rest of the series.

I am such an idiot for starting this series that the beautiful Devney Perry is still writing rather than one of the other series she has already finished because I have absolutely no chill. I can't handle waiting between books because my goldfish memory promptly forgets all the cute little inside knowledge I've acquired from the previous books. And although this works as a standalone, I want to be in the know damn it.

That said I did remember bits and pieces of the previous characters as they floated in and out of this book so that was enough to pull me off the ledge. And this book was so much about Jasper and Eloise that at times I forgot about everyone else. And I was so unable to put it down I grabbed the whisper sync so I could keep listening while I adulted.

I adored this book and Eloise was perfect. Sometimes too perfect as she tried to prove herself to her parents. But I loved her. Literally everything about her was great, she didn't play games, she said what she was thinking, and she genuinely cared about everyone around her. Jasper, I had moments with. And honestly, I think it's just things my brain decided to focus on that caused me issue.

Now I'm going to be vague so as not to spoil anything here, but I need to vent. Firstly, he expected Eloise to know how he felt when he really didn't give her a lot to go on. And when there was an incident in regard to a ring, he didn't use his words. And for me that was a big issue that I felt needed to be resolved and just wasn't. Which is sticking in my brain like a splinter. "What about the ring, Devney?" Then there were his inner thoughts on why he was an arse at family dinner. Yeah, he was using it as an excuse, but it was still a genuine issue he should have addressed. And I kept waiting and then, nothing.

I know that those things were me issues more than story issues, but I can't stand it when people expect you to know what they are feeling or thinking. Use your big boy words. Luckily Jasper did get better at communication. But honestly it was all Eloise having the patience of a saint and the stubbornness of a bull. and the ability to use both to perfection.

Now we have to wait forever for crimson river. Which sounds freaking amazing and I can't wait. Gah, I hate waiting.
