Ok so like Axel this book was one I read when it was released seven freaking years ago, seriously how has it been seven years since these guys came into my life? And I remember that I was a massive fan of the series and especially of Harper Sloan’s writing. So after I put down Axel I immediately jumped into Cage. And since I loved him so hard as the older surrogate brother to all the lovely ladies I was super excited.
Then I started reading it and I wanted him to catch a massive case of crabs. Now don’t get me wrong I am not hugely sensitive to our main characters having sex before they get together. Sure I would prefer it to not be a big point of the book but I generally get over it pretty quickly. And I probably would have if after meeting the heroine and inquiring about her, dancing with her and rubbing all up against her he then didn’t bang his crazy AF sex buddy with the hard on he got from the heroine. And if he also didn’t do it while bitching that the crazy AF sex buddy was crazy AF and needed to stop thinking this was more than it was. This one scene gave me a shit taste to start my book off with. We had already witnessed him and said Crazy chick going at it we didn’t need this recap.
But I am a forgiving reader and once he decided to chase the heroine he was all in and all about her so I figured I would just ignore that one bar room bang and focus on everything after that. From that point on he was perfect. I adored him for Melissa. And I loved the whole premise of them already being six degrees of separated.
Melissa was great. I liked that she could hold her own and she fit in so well with the Corps Security crew and the ladies of the group. Cohen was an awesome addition to the story and I really liked the fact he acted age appropriately. This series is everything that I remembered and I am so glad that I decided to do a reread.

I read this book so long ago that I honestly could only remember that I loved it. I am a huge fan of Harper Sloan and I love her writing style so while I was sitting around procrastinating I ended up on her Facebook group and obviously, people were raving about their experience of being first time readers and I figured a reread was in order.
Far out did poor Izzy go to hell and back. But she didn't just let fate keep kicking her down. And her inner spirit came through so strong I just loved her. I also loved that despite everything she had been through there wasn't a single pity party and I was right behind her when she just wanted a drink and to hideaway under her covers.
Of course Axel would convince any woman to crawl out from under anywhere. Having the dual POV in this I could understand his anger. But I loved that he didn't hold onto it. And as soon as he knew what had transpired he was crushed but he also just wanted to get back on the path to happily ever after.
Naturally the secondary characters were beautiful and I can't wait to read the rest of the series and then jump into the spinoff. And I am extremely excited to see that awesome things are happening for Harper and inspiring her to write again so fingers crossed we will be getting more of her words soon.

Omg the last Corps Security book. Reading this
book was so bittersweet. I mean I absolutely love Maddox Locke, he has been the
broody, quiet guy in the corner you can't stop your eyes from straying to from
the start. And I really wanted him to have all that he deserved and more but I
just never wanted this series to end.
Of course if you've read this series you know
that this story begins at the end of Beck and it is set in the same time as
Cooper but since Harper is such a goddess you have no idea what has happened
and how poor Emmy is handling everything she went through. And we kinda got a
very tiny tease into why Maddox is so closed off but really that tiny little
picture left us with more questions than answers.
And if you are anything like me you had twenty
different plot twists as to what the picture represents and what happened to
turn the smiling man in the photo into the one we all know and when it is
revealed just let me say
I didn't see that coming. Seriously just
straight out of left field but damn did Harper have me sitting on the edge of
my seat dying to see what happens next.
Even though Maddox was my favourite one of the
boys, damn did he drive me fucking nuts. I thought he would never pull his head
out of his damn ass and I am sad to say there were times I wanted Emmy to just
kick him in the dick and walk away.
Anyway if you’re like me and love story's with
no emotional angst or over done relationship drama, can't get enough of
possessive, growly alphas who know what they want and won't let anyone doubt
it,mixed in with enough smoking hot scenes to make panties pointless this
series has gone above and beyond and after messing up a little and reading
Unexpected Fate first I can say with confidence that the spin off just
keeps that bar held high.
So if you haven’t met the men of Corps Security
yet race off and one click it today. Check out my reviews on some of the boys

If you have read Beck you know I had
to jump straight in to Cooper. I mean O.M.Geeeee Harper, seriously, all I
wanted to do at the end of that was sit down and scream WHY?
If you haven't read Beck yet then seriously
what are you doing with your life?
Obviously by this point in the series
we know most of the players pretty well but these two we only really get to
know slightly in the last book and we met them during so much drama and
heartbreak it was pretty easy to barely give them a glance while our focus was
on Beck and Dee but the hook was sunk and I did leave that book knowing that
this book was not just inevitable it was desperately needed.
Going into this story I expected it to
be pretty predictable and the only things that were unknown was how and when
the heads came out of asses and how certain secrets we all knew would be
delivered to characters who were still in the dark.
But of course with this series Harper
pulled it off fabulously and at no time did I get the urge to skim through to
get passed the obvious because it just never happened. As always there was a
lot of smoking hot sex, a fair bit of action and drama (not in the angsty, gut
clench kinda way but in the omg what happens next, fun way) and I loved
watching every second of it it play out.
This series just keeps getting better
and better.

I started this series when Harper first
released Axel and fell madly in lust with him. but then I had to wait for Beck
to be written and have had it on my TBR list with no doubt I was coming back to
it, but it just kept falling further and further down the pile as new books were
added. But then I saw the rave reviews for Bleeding Love and so being
the idiot I am I didn't stop to check I just went right on and one clicked Unexpected Fate and devoured it. Of course part way through it clicked that I
knew these characters so I backtracked and did a little research and realised
it was a Corps Security spin off so as soon as I finished I raced back to
Amazon and one clicked the rest of that series and went on an alpha male binge.
Now that the lust has started to clear from my
brain I figure it's about time I settle in and write a review.
As I mentioned it's been a while since I read
the first 2 in the series so I was a little rusty on the story line but this
didn't detract from the book at all. I remembered my favourites and as I read
bits and pieces came back to me and I was hooked.
Beck was so amazing and beautiful I just wanted
to rip him from the pages and keep him in my pants forever. Watching everything
they went through and seeing his complete faith in Dee and his absolute belief
that not only was she worth every obstacle that had to be overcome but that
their love was so solid made me smile like an idiot.
I love that with these books we don't just get
a love story, we get a family, we get action and drama and a story that has the
ability to keep me so captivated I can't put it down and I immediately have to
jump into the next one to see how the other members of this perfect crew are
going to get their HEA.
I absolutely loved every second of this book.
And Harper Sloan has cemented herself as a must read author with her perfect
alphas and story lines that keep me flipping pages at 3am cause I can't go to
sleep until I know how it all plays out.
So if you haven't read this series yet do
yourself a favour and grab it now.
