I adore Kristen Ashley and her Chaos series, and the 1001 nights series is awesome. Everything about this has been great. I have been introduced to some new to me series and authors and gotten some new stories from series and authors I already love.

I don't think there could ever be enough of the Chaos series. And each of these novellas have been perfect additions to the crew.

Archie and Jagger were typical Kristen Ashley characters. The way they met was so unique and sweet and I couldn't get enough of them together. And as always, the posse of friends in Archie's circle were a perfect complement to the story. Plus, we got more of the Chaos brotherhood.

I loved getting more of Hound and Keeley and Graham's boys. I really wasn't expecting Jagger's story to be quite as emotional as this one was. Which was short sighted of me considering the history. No doubt the next series from Kristen Ashley will be just as addictive as this one. And I am so there for it.

After putting down Hail No I went straight to GoodReads to see what the reviews said for the next book in the series. I honestly was worried. On one hand I was dying to read it but on the other the reviews were a little everywhere.  There was a lot of Travis bashing and I was scared I was going to hate him.

And I kind of did but then I also kind of understood where he was coming from. His ex was a manipulative bitch who had a lot of power in their small town. But he seriously needed to man up and not let her actions dictate the happiness of everyone he loved.

Hannah was understanding and I appreciated that she was doing what she felt was best for everyone around her. She knew what was going on and didn't try to make it about her. I liked that when she was upset she let him know but I probably would have respected her more if she packed her things and left when he was being a jerk.

That said I can't wait to jump into the next one.

So my new years plan to clean up the 1000+ books on my kindle that I have yet to read is off to a great start. Well kind of. If you don't count the fact that I've read 6 books and added the four next books in each of their series to my kindle :/ ok so maybe it's not worked out quite how I planned but I have read some great books.

Lani Lynne Vale has been on my radar for years but I always put it off. Initially because she has a load of MC books and I tend to avoid those for being a little hit or miss for me. But for some reason this one registered with me and I one clicked it, then didn't read it.

And now I am hooked. There's something about a big, muscled, bike riding alpha who's been misunderstood by everyone that works. And Evander was just such a great hero. I loved him from the minute his first question was where are my horses and dog. Because there is seriously nothing hotter than a man who loves his dog.

Kennedy was as completely perfect as Evander. She was so sweet and soft and caring about everyone around her but she wasn't a doormat. She stood up for herself but she did it without disregarding anyone else's feelings or needs and without being an idiot.

The two of them together was hot and I was surprised by the full range of emotions I went through. And the introduction to Hannah and Travis has me hoping Hannah kicks him to the curb and shacks up with Rafe ;)

This is my first read of Layla Frost’s and I will be honest I picked it up because it kept popping up in my recommendations when I couldn’t decide what the hell to read. All I knew was I wanted a bad ass possessive, alpha and this apparently met at all the crossroads. And since reading it I went to check some reviews and man do they sum it up perfectly. But because some of them were negative and some were positive and things they hated I didn’t mind and vice versa I am going to try explain my feels here.

This is very Kristen Ashley ish. Even the long winded descriptions of things I just couldn’t give a flying umm well yeah about, her makeup was flawless would do me rather than 2 pages on how her smokey eyes were shaded. I also don't care about the decor. So parts of this book just felt like too many words to get to the good stuff. There was a lot of “babe” as a word for everything, negative or positive but since I use a certain four letter word in a similar context I don’t really mind that.

Everyone and I mean everyone, man, woman, poodle seemed to be madly in love with the cupcake scented goddess. This was a little monotonous. We get it she’s amazing couldn’t just two or three people think she’s perfect rather than everyone and their random relatives? As a character I liked her, obviously I wouldn’t let my husband get close enough to sniff her but I thought she was nice and I liked her self confidence and ability to maturely deal with the cattiness around her.

Jake was exactly what I read the book looking for. He was growling, possessive, protective, sweet, loving alpha extraordinaire. I liked him and his band of mechanic friends. We could have stopped at them and the book would have been great. I didn’t need the random club owner, the rockstar besties and the other people that he was close to to prove his coolness. Especially since they all fell in love with Piper.

The drama was good. I honestly had no clue that was who the stalker was and I did spend the whole book trying to figure it out and I liked the way it played out. So although I can completely see why it was a miss for a few of my GR friends it was exactly what I was looking for except maybe a little longer than I was after. Although if you took out too many of those overly descriptive sentences we may have had a massive steaming hot sexy times to actual story imbalance. Not that I would be complaining because damn was Jake hot. Can’t wait to pick up the series and hopefully see Kase get a good run for his money.

It feels like we have waited a decade for Dixie's story, which is kind of fitting since she waited a decade to be claimed by Jace. But honestly Dixie has been such a part of all the Whiskey family's stories I felt like I knew her story already. She was such a strong yet caring kick arse biker princess I was dying to see who was going to get passed the Whiskey brothers and the Dark Knights to win her over.

And I didn't even think of Jace. Probably because he hasn't been that involved in any of the other books. But I loved who he was in relation to Silver Stone bikes and the connection to Bullet. It just wrapped him into the family so perfectly.

The whole relationship between Jace and Dixie was either hot as hell or angsty as hell. I felt like the book had me on a huge roller-coaster ride and I really loved every minute of it. Jace played his cards so close to his chest he left us all holding our breath to see what he was thinking. Because we knew where his heart was at and we knew the kind of man he was we just didn't know WTF he was doing.

But man when he goes big he really does it right. That last ten percent of the book wrapped it all up to perfection and I put the book down with a huge smile. I love visiting the Whiskeys and seeing new additions to the families and new relationships being formed. As well as being introduced to more cousins for more series to read.

I can't wait to get my hands on Quincey's book next because damn that boys story will be tortured. And he absolutely deserves a big huge happily ever after. And hopefully there will be some more Whiskey babies being added to the family too. I love Peaceful Harbor.

I remember like it was yesterday the first time I picked up an Aurora Rose Reynolds ARC. It was Until November and I was blown away that this was her debut novel and I was one of the first to read it. It was pure perfection. It was like she looked inside my brain and found the perfect characters and story line to push all my own very personal buttons and I became obsessed.

Every new book she released I had to have it, I had to read it as soon as I got it and I had to finish it as soon as I started it. Her Until series is one of my all-time favourites and I loved the idea of following the story onto their kids. And I should have had no doubt that it would be perfect. I mean the list of authors who give me characters that I love from the first, who make my panties wet is only topped by 1 or 2 before Aurora’s name is there surrounded by highlighter and asterisk's.

Obviously anyone Raised by Asher and November had to be amazeballs and July did not disappoint. She is my favourite female lead at the moment. I love that she became a vet, that absolutely made my day. She was the perfect mix of strong and independent while still being feminine and sweet. But of course with how much I love her parents it would be very hard to imagine them raising anything but hell raising strong willed girls who very much know their own mind.

And Wes was, as you would expect from Aurora, the perfect growling, possessive, dirty-talking alpha. He was the perfect blend of all round good guy and dirty, bad ass biker.

As with all of her books the addition of their much loved and mentioned pets always make my association with them that much stronger. As weird as I am sure a lot of people will find it whenever I meet people without pets I always wonder what’s wrong with them. So whenever I pick up one of these books knowing we will have them added as characters is such a major plus I love it and I love the characters that much more for it.

There were a few things in here I would have like to see expanded and closed off and I felt the ending was a little rushed. But the epilogue was awesome and made me lie back with a stupid dreamy smile on my face thinking about how amazing Jax’s story will be after that much loved and much too short teaser into his boom.

So Until Jax I hope you find a few more amazing alphas to keep you warm.
