"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."

Destry was another perfect example of why Lola Stark was born to write.

I was a little scared going into Destry as I so loved her Needle's Kiss series and this was obviously destined to be different and with how much I loved her other work I thought I would be disappointed but NOPE :)

I think the best way to sum up this book is in the books disclaimer:

"I've written this book at a time in my life when I was looking for something short, sweet and light. So that's what Destry is."

The characters were perfect, I love that they are always so human. There's no perfect virginal princess or white knight who never puts a foot wrong there's just perfectly fucked up people you can't help but love.

There's not really much I can tell you about the story without just rehashing the blurb or destroying the plot for you so I will just rave about Lola's awesomeness a bit more.

Not only were the characters great but the sex scenes were a great mix of sexy and sweet. I love the fact that there's always a few solid LOL moments that I can try to explain to my husband before I realise he doesn't care and I am spending my time trying to explain it when he just wants me to hurry up and put the book down so he can get laid.

The epilogue has me holding my breath for the next installment and I can't wait to see the whole family fall in love and hopefully also get to watch Destry and Melia fill the house with babies in the background of their stories. But for now Bring on Brax !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to Sugartown (Sugartown, #1)Welcome to Sugartown by Carmen Jenner
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Welcome to Sugartown was not what I expected when I read the blurb. To be honest I was expecting something a little bit sickeningly sweet with a young adult twist but OMG was I wrong. And I loved it. There were moments of sweet for sure but those were interspersed with plenty of dark and had my heart on a roller coaster.

The writing was perfect. And I have to say as an Aussie it was nice to read a book that felt 100% Australian. I know your all wondering what the hell I mean by that but even though we are pretty Americanized we do tend to talk a little differently and maybe most people wouldn’t notice but it was one of the first things that absolutely dragged me in with this book.

Elijah especially was such an Aussie bloke I couldn’t not love him. I mean there were moments there I could see my husband saying the same shit. And even though there were so many times I wanted Ana to kick Elijah in the junk and run screaming I am so glad she didn’t.

This book had absolutely everything without it being too much. There were moments when I would maybe think “geez wtf now?” but then I would have to see exactly how it was going to play out and how Ana was going to come through it.

The supporting characters were great and I absolutely loved her best friend to the extreme. I think we all have a friend who is a little like her and I am hoping that the next installment will be her book as I am too nervous to think of the trials and tribulations that could be in front of Ana and Elijah and just pray they get a happily ever after sooner rather than later.

Anyway what can I say but Welcome to Sugartown. I hope you enjoy the stay .

Ok I read the blurb and the author's note and I still put off reading this thinking it was going to be something I wasn't in the right emotional space to read. I am happy to admit I am an idiot. This book was awesome. It made me run the whole gamut of emotions but the main feeling I had was one of falling in love. That is after I stopped laughing at Lily's arguments with her brain and her smart ass comments.

I don't know if it's the books I chose or if it's all the books out at the moment but this is the first book in a long time I can honestly say that I watched Lily and Nox fall in love and I felt it right along with them.

My knees sting like hell but I don’t utter a word of complaint, because let’s face it, Nox doesn’t seem like the giver of fucks.

So first impressions seem to be a little less than flattering as far as Lily goes but luckily for us (and the story) Nox shows some redeeming features other than the ones under his clothes although maybe we should check those ones out first ;)

But then we get inside Nox's head and we can't help but get a little swoony.

She's pretty. And when I say pretty, I mean pretty. And she doesn't even know it. Which doesn't help me in the slightest. Her long, dark-reddish hair has half come out of its ponytail. It's thick and has a wave to it. Her face is clear and her skin has a peaches - and - cream thing going on. She's pale. Almost like she's never seen the sun, but it suits her. Her bright - green eyes are encased by long dark lashes. She doesn't wear a stitch of makeup. She's naturally pretty. But that hair ....... that fucking hair. I haven't seen anything like it.

And he just keeps getting sweeter and more perfect and we watch the depth of emotion between them deepen.

Until finally

This book was awesome and I really regret that I didn't read it sooner but I am REALLY glad that I get to encourage you to pop your cherry so you all can hit me up to discuss the awesomeness as you read it.

Ok so we didn't quite get over the line on the day but I am still so proud to be a Dockers fan.

Great Job boys and can't wait to see us take out the cup next year
Tattered Love (Needle's Kiss, #1)Tattered Love by Lola Stark
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ARC Provided by the Author which is massively appreciated as this was a book I absolutely loved.

Scarlett was finally a leading lady who didn't make me feel bad for having a vagina.

She was sassy and sexy and all things awesome.

But then you meet Mace and wow do the pretty panties get a little (ok a lot) damp

“My God, Mace was all man, the kind of man every warm-blooded woman would love to take home for the night, tie to her bed and let loose on. Sitting this close to him, my mind conjured up a long list of things I could do, just with my mouth.”

So yeah it's hard to keep your pretty panties dry when the man is sex on a stick with a mouth that makes you wet almost every time he opens it. But of course life isn't always a bag of puppies and shit happens

"You need to know I always get what I want, Scarlett." I pulled my head up, staring into her eyes and whispered, "And I want my cock wrapped in your sweet pussy. I want to pound you hard until you can't move a muscle. I want to taste you on my tongue."

Now we just have to hold our breath while we wait for

Conflicted Love

Well don't just stand there thinking I am awesome get your ass out and get the damn book. Trust me. Oh and don't forget batteries while your out ;)
