I have this
weird relationship with Rebecca Yarros's novels. See as an author Rebecca is
amazing. Her stories are absolutely beyond compare and her characters are so
perfectly real I immediately fall in love with them. But in every single book I
break while I read it and by the time I put it down I've been rebuilt with a
tiny piece being left behind in the pages. And so, I always need to find “the
right time” to read them. But in our house that just never occurs.
But for this
book, all the stars aligned. My awesome hubby and I had 4 beautiful days, kid
free in Bali for my birthday. So, I read this poolside in paradise and fell
madly in love with Allie and Hudson. And every other character in this
beautiful story.
Allie and
Hudson had literally everything working against them. And when they are thrown
together 10 years after being torn apart all the secrets are forced to light.
And I seriously didn't see half of those twists and turns coming. But watching
them come through the flames and get a beautiful happily ever after had me
putting down my kindle with so much happiness.
This book kept popping up in an obsessive alpha
Facebook group I'm in, so I one clicked it. Then I read the blurb and didn't
want to pick it up. Then I made the mistake of checking some reviews. When I
saw one saying that she ended up with the wrong guy, I assumed that meant not
the guy who I had already decided from the blurb that she should obviously be
with.
Then my little brain decided I would probably be
best not to read it. So, I tried to pick a different book to read and literally
nothing grabbed me. I thought I would just read this for an hour before bed and
if I didn't get into it, I could read something else in the morning. Now I'm
here all like what day is it?
I have been in a serious book fog. It's obsessed my
brain every second I have had to put it down. I had to keep checking the
chapters to see who's point of view we were going to be getting next and if
that point of view would still be present towards the end of the book. Because
getting three different main characters points of view was awesome. I was so
besotted with one of them, I enjoyed another, and I loved to hate the third.
Now I'm not going to tell you who was who or anything,
but I am going to say that I am so happy I picked this book up. I'm going to
one click the next one right now even though I need to adult for a bit. Because
yeah, the heroes were both obsessive, one slightly more, hotter, better and
just everything than the other. The book was hot. There was no cheating.
Everyone and everything was very clear and man was it hot AF.
Can't wait to go stalk this author and check out
her other books and heroes. Because one of these guys is going to be living in
my head rent free for a few days and I could not be happier about it.

Blurb
I met him
when my ship was sinking, and I clung to him through the storm. Little did I
know he needed me as much as I needed him.
The first time I saw Roman Dante King, he stuck out like an odd puzzle piece
that got mixed up in the wrong box. It wasn’t his blue eyes in the dim light of
the bar, the tattoos that covered his arms and hands, or even his arrogant
personality. It was something else—something I couldn’t see—that told me he
didn’t belong in our small beach town on the Oregon coast.
Elora Mazie Barlow reminded me of a hummingbird zipping from one flower to
another, never stopping, never allowing anyone more than a glimpse before she
was gone. Never letting anyone in… until me. Then she gave me her smiles that
were more valuable than anything I ever owned and wrapped me in her peace
without asking for anything in return.
Her tragic story sounded achingly familiar to my own.
Our connection is knotted up in loss. The journey we’re on together will
eventually come to an end. But will we be able to untangle the mess of strings
that have tied us together?
Will we even want to?

Meet Aurora Rose Reynolds
Aurora Rose
Reynolds is a New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street
Journal bestselling author whose wildly popular series include Until,
Until Him, Until Her, Underground King, Shooting Stars, Fluke My Life and How
to Catch an Alpha series.
Her writing
career started in an attempt to get the outrageously alpha men who resided in
her head to leave her alone and has blossomed into an opportunity to share her
stories with readers all over the world.

Anyone who
knows me, knows that Aurora Rose Reynolds could never write a bad book in my
opinion. In fact, I'm pretty sure the lady just has golden words flowing from
her finger tips. So, it feels incredibly disloyal to say that story wise, I
think this is her best written book to date. It's hard to explain because Until
November still has all the stars and will forever be a favourite read of mine
but this book feels like it has more depth to the story.
The
characters were beautiful, don't get me wrong. And I loved them and their journey,
but the true beauty of this story was as much their journey as it was them.
Whereas earlier books the characters have been the heart, and their journey has
been second to them.
Elora and
Roman met while each dealing with their own grief in different stages and in
different ways. And watching each of them come to terms with that and not only
work through it but also grow together at the same time was awesome. There was
so much going on that could have worked out in a multitude of ways that I
couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next and how.
Everything
worked out beautifully and I fell more in love with each character and I loved
it. I laughed, I swooned, I cried, and I smiled through my tears. And although
I think from a literary perspective this book shows the authors growth and development,
I still think her debut book is my favourite. Sorry not sorry. #AsherForever

I stumbled upon Maggie Rawdon by complete accident
and became obsessed. And since I was lucky enough to get in early, I feel like
I've watched her writing develop. That said, I am not an analytical reader, I
like what I like, and sometimes that's something I wouldn't like a week before.
For me getting in early is normally a bad thing because I have to wait for each
book to be written rather than just stalking the back catalogue. But I can
honestly say in this instance I've noticed the growth and it's lined up
beautifully with my reading kinks.
This book was soo hot. Like unbelievably need to
put it down because I was squirming in public, and hubby was very aware of my
issue. Which I wasn't expecting from the blurb. I was kind of worried about the
whole brother’s ex thing but honestly I couldn't have cared less once I started
reading it.
Coop was everything. He was an amazing father and I
loved seeing the relationship between Coop and Lizzy along with the snips of
co-parenting with Lizzy's mum. And the way Beatrix fit in with them was
perfect. But Coop, not the father, was beyond words. He was jealous and
possessive and protective and the way he let her set the pace while still
pushing her for more.
Beatrix was so genuine. She felt her pain, but she
didn't let it control her actions. I seriously enjoyed watching her share her
story with Coop and being so open and honest about her feelings made her even
better.
I loved every minute of reading this book and I
can't recommend it more. I would just suggest reading it in private with no
distractions.

Meet Mila Kane
I'm
obsessed with cats, coffee, and anti-heroes just the right side of insane.
I write dark and dirty romance with the alpha-holes of your most filthy
nightmares.
While I like my heroes obsessed and powerful, I like my heroines smart and
independent. My headstrong, capable women will bring their own personal demons
to their knees, and capture their hearts at the same time.
I only write SAFE stories, there is never a place for another woman in my
heroes sights, once he's caught the scent of the heroine, and there will always
be, no matter how dark and twisted the story might be... a HEA guaranteed.
