(The Quiet Horsemen Book 2)
by Maggie Rawdon
LIVE! Don’t miss this dark western, small town romance!
𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐛
Grant Stockton is the devil incarnate. The cowboy turned casino-owning crime boss has been the bane of my existence for as long as I can remember—first as my older brother’s best friend, then as my guardian when my brother died at his side, and now as the rival bar owner and landlord running me into the red.
He might be the head of The Quiet Horsemen, the man everyone else in this town fears, but I’m not about to cede a single inch of ground to him.
If I have to lie, cheat, and steal to keep him from finding out my bar’s underwater—well, that’s exactly what I’ll do.
At least until he breaks into my apartment and discovers my secret. One that gives him all the leverage he needs to control my fate.
My only reprieve is that The Horsemen are in the middle of a war, one that’s been spilling blood for the better part of a decade, and his enemies are closing in on our small mountain town.
Which is why I’m taken off guard by the demand he makes in exchange for keeping my secret.
Apparently there are benefits to being at the mercy of the devil…

So, in my desperation for more Maggie Rawdon words, I forgot a few teeny tiny little things. First is that this is a series, and each book is so completely intertwined that the story is still ongoing. And when I put the last book down, I had an issue with that. So naturally I wasn't hugely happy about it this time either. That said this book was written in such a way that despite having the worst memory I could more than follow the goings on here and remember most of the characters.
I really feel like I need to wait for the series to be written and then just binge them all. But I know my fomo and need to read each book as it releases. Because each next book is set up so well by the current one I can't wait to see what's going to happen next.
Grant and Dakota were so hot together. I couldn't get enough of Grant which surprised me. Because he started off so serious and authoritarian, I wasn't sure how he was going to switch. And I don't hate bdsm but I'm not really loving it at the moment, so I was scared it was going to steer heavily in that direction.
Then we got jealous and possessive Grant, and I loved it. But we also got sweet and sensitive, considerate Grant and I was obsessed. Dakota was every twenty something woman trying to figure out life and herself. And I enjoyed watching her work out how to do what she needed to do while also submitting to what Grant needed without losing herself to him.
The chemistry was hot. The romance was sweet and had depth. And the story was so involved and intriguing. I hated having to put it down to adult and I can't wait for the next one. Although I'm just as excited for more Charlotte and her men. So whatever is next as long as it's soon please.
I feel like
I really screwed myself over reading this book right now. I am so burnt out and
stressed out and I was hoping this would distract me and help me hide from
reality for a while. Unfortunately, my brain just didn't allow that to happen
so I know I missed a load of giggles I would normally get from the delightful
Sara Ney.
Now in
saying that I did enjoy the book. The characters were so unique and quirky, and
the premise was super cute. I love it when the super fan gets the star and does
it without being weird and fawning all over their celebrity. Austin was such an
awesome little heckler, and I really enjoyed the flow of their
relationship.
But Gio was
such an awesome boyfriend. And with him being all cranky in the beginning I
really wasn't expecting that. And throw in the fact that he went out of his way
to meet her based on his sisters shove I was loving it. I did guess the plot
twist but that didn't take anything away from the story.
I am
obsessed by the epilogue, and I can't wait to get my hands on the next book.
When I saw that it was written by Nova I thought we were going to get her
commentary on Gio and Nova. Especially on how over the top crazy Gio was. What
we got however feels like one massive tease for the next book. And knowing it's
Nova's book I'm looking forward to seeing more Gio and Austin.

From USA Today and #1 Amazon Bestselling Author
Bella Matthews comes an Enemies to Lovers, Fake Dating, Sports Romance.
Killian
St. James was the boy I loved. Now he’s the man I love to hate.
To the
world, I’m America’s sweetheart. A brand built on fairy tales and love songs
that sell millions. But the truth? I’m not sure I believe in happily ever
afters . . . At least not for me.
Burned-out
and desperate for a break, I return to my hometown, craving quiet and a tiny
taste of freedom. But instead of peace, I find a stalker in the shadows,
paparazzi on my heels, and a meddling family with their own ideas about my
life.
Everyone
insists I need protection, and having my new bodyguard pose as my fake
boyfriend makes total sense . . . Not that they asked me. If that’s not enough, did I
mention that Killian is all too happy to volunteer for the job?
This MMA
champion is brooding, relentless, and inconveniently perfect at keeping me
safe. He’s also unimaginably gorgeous, with a quiet confidence that’s even
sexier than the ink tattooed on his golden skin.
But as lines
blur and sparks fly, I’m left wondering if the boy I once loved could be the
man I can trust with my life . . . and my heart.

I always
make the mistake of picking these books up to read a few chapters before bed
because they always make me happy. Cue midnight and me forcing myself to put
the book down so I can adult in the morning. Only to spend the next day tired
and trying to sneak off to keep reading.
The thing is
I absolutely love the whole huge, interconnected thing but I'm now at the point
I can hardly keep who's who straight. And I don't even care. Then the parents
pop up or a cousin and I can't believe how much I love everything about this
series and the ones preceding it.
Killian and
Lilah have such a secret history and when it was all revealed I felt terrible
for them. But I am so glad they sorted out their past and got on with living
their beautiful happily ever after. And despite the fact I spent ¾ of the book
waiting for the drama to happen and the bad guy to be revealed I could almost
have lived without it.
Everything
about them together was so hot and so sweet. I am dying to see who's up next
and see the next chapters for so many characters we have already met and fallen
in love with along the way.
The Kiss Lottery by Ilsa Madden-Mills
is now live!
From
bestselling author Ilsa Madden-Mills comes a steamy story about first love and
second chances where a city girl returns home for a Valentine's Day
tradition...and the boy who broke her heart.
Roses are
red, violets are blue--someone in Rose has feelings for you...
Yeah, bad
ones. Everly Davis didn't leave her tight-knit hometown on the best terms. It's
been ten years, but you don't forget heartbreak like that. Then again, the
anonymous invite to the annual Kiss Lottery in Rose, Tennessee, gives Everly
content for her podcast. And she has a bone to pick with that old heartbreak
anyway.
Beckett
Whitfield has never left Rose--and he's never forgotten Everly. He even named
the villain in his latest bestseller after her. Turns out she's not happy about
that. Nothing about their reunion is particularly happy, and after the way they
left things, what did he expect?
When the
Kiss Lottery pairs them together, Everly and Beckett will have to confront old
feelings that never went away and the secrets they never shared. But finally
telling each other everything might be exactly what they've needed all along.

I always
pick these books up because I know I love this series and I can't get enough of
the Everlasting Ink family. But I always forget that they are basically a big
bowl of candy in book form. So, I spend half the book reacquainting myself with
the world waiting for the drama to hit and the other half just sitting and
smiling and loving all these guys.
Brogan and
Maddox were so adorable. It took Maddox a bit of convincing to get Brogan to
get over her past and insecurity and trust in the possibility of them. But man,
that guy brings the shmooze. In the most wholesome, genuine, hot guy way.
I love how
deeply these guys love. And not just their ladies but also their families, both
chosen and biological. And watching all these kids growing up and getting
siblings and cousins and their uncles and aunties doting on them is just
beautiful. I can't wait for the next book. I have my fingers crossed for a
whoops baby but honestly, I don't care as long as it's in my hands sooner than
later. Kisses
This novella
feels like a Valentine’s Day present to the author's fans. It's so cute and
sweet and has just enough going on to keep you intrigued but not so much it's
distracting from the romance.
Beckett and
Everly have a complicated history and initially I was very anti Beckett and I
couldn't understand why Everly could feel anything for him. Then I remembered
that their history was not only history but based on one incident when they
were 17. And God please don't anyone judge me on the stupid shit I did at 17.
And then the
chefs kiss, cherry on top, Beckett pulled out all the sweetness and gave
amazing grovel and I wanted to throw my pants at him. And everything that had
been going on in the background was all tied together in one of those beautiful
bows.

Blurb:
Who forgets
marrying a football player? Me, apparently. Turns out countless shots and a bad
breakup lead to questionable decision making. But waking up in Vegas with a
ring on my finger beside a hot, naked man is hard to ignore. I married
Parker Wilder. Thanks to our quickie nuptials, I’ll get my inheritance, and
he’ll get his family and their well-intentioned meddling off his back.
Forgetting
the wedding was the easy part. Being married to him is a whole different story.
Parker is too … everything. Chiseled by the gods good-looking. A heartbreaking
kind of broody. The kind of man you know will wreck you for all others. Good
thing this is all pretend. And oh, how we pretend. We pretend ourselves right
into me ripping the clothes off his body.
It’s all fun
and fake marriage until the day he gets a knock on the door with the surprise
of a lifetime. Until the bomb goes off and we’re left to pick up the pieces.
Until the pretending stops and we’re left with only one question: was any of it
real?
