This book felt like one big Easter egg; all these previous couples sprinkled all the way through like icing on a cupcake. I started reading this and did not want to put it down for a second.  Obviously, I love Lex Martin's writing, she's an instant one click author. So, I am pretty confident going in that I'm going to put it down happy.

It felt like every box was checked. Age gap, single father, fake marriage, brothers’ best friend, and so much more. Plus, I got all the feels for both characters. And can I tell you, sitting poolside on a Disney Cruise is not the place to tear up. The looks I got.

Poor Paige had gone through it all. And despite her very low self-worth and lack of expectations of others she was still fighting and still smiling. I wanted a little something to go her way so badly, every time her step mum popped up, I was hoping for a bus to fall on her leaving Paige with her mother's home. But I think I'm just a little vengeful. And instead, Paige got her revenge with a beautiful happy ever after.

Rhett took way too long to pull his head from a certain piece of his anatomy. I honestly think he needed to grovel harder. In fact, he was kind of a disappointing hero, for parts of the story. By the time he was ready to stand up and fight for Paige I was already hoping someone was going to swoop in. Luckily Paige was awesome and didn't need saving. And Rhett pulled it out at the end.

The ending was cute and sweet. I could have done with a little more of some things being tied up. But I was happy that Paige got what she wanted and I'm dying for the next book in the series. I think we might get some more Paige and Rhett along with some fireworks from Mav and Baylee.
