I honestly didn't read the blurb or check out the trope teasers for this before I jumped right in. But I saw a couple in passing before I started reading so as things occurred, I had thoughts on where they were going to go. I don't think I got a single one of them right.

 

Deacon was the perfect blend of sweet, protective, caring and possessive. The story felt like insta love in the best of ways but it also had so much depth to the characters. I loved their history and the relationships they had with their families. Brynn was all that you would expect from Scarlett St James's daughter. A backbone of steel yet so caring and loving to everyone around her.

 

As always, we got the whole beautiful, crazy extended family and a good crossover of their lives. I got all the feels, and I can't wait to get my hands on the next book.
