I picked this book up, not reading the blurb or realising it was part of a series. Just knowing it was from this amazing author and I had to get my grabby hands on it. Zero regrets were made. The story had me so invested and I was besotted with the characters immediately. It wasn’t long before things started to tickle my goldfish brain and I knew that I knew some of these secondary characters so I ran off to Goodreads to check and I will admit to a happy squeal when I realised who Brogan was.

But it very happily and easily could be read as a standalone. And honestly for the main part that's how I read it, because seriously my memory is terrible. Once you get into the pages you will be too busy falling for London and Brogan to care about anything else. Both characters had their own things going on and I was dying to see how things were going to play out for each of them.

London was the perfect blend of quiet and outgoing. She wasn’t scared to speak her mind and stand up for what she knew she wanted and didn’t want. I really loved the chemistry between Brogan and London. And I loved that when Brogan was dealing with things, London didn’t make it about herself, and Brogan was the first to apologise and explain where he was at with everything. The whole thing played out so realistically and I felt like I was living it alongside them. Now I am holding my breath for the next book.
