This book kind of blew me away. I don't know exactly what I was expecting when I started reading but I just got more. I love Micalea’s The Boys series so when I saw the promo for this, I jumped at it before I even read the blurb.

 

Then I read the blurb, and I was still not sure how it was going to go. But I didn't expect to be captivated in the life of Via. And with the way the book was written in three parts I had a nervous anticipation of the why of that until I was so busy living the story, I forgot to worry about it.

 

By the time part two kicked in I was even more invested in the story. Because having Reid's POV was the cherry on top. That man knew what he wanted, and he wasn't afraid to work for it. Add in the fact he could be all commanding and possessive, and his wow factor just kept going up.

 

The growth of Via was awesome. Some of her decisions along the way were a little annoying but I kind of understood her logic. The fact that she was so open and honest with Reid made her choices even easier to justify. Their relationship progressed so beautifully, and I loved watching her connect with her people and improve her relationship with her sister.

 

I'm so beyond excited to get Izzy's book next. I think that's going to be hot. And considering how heated Reid got me I'm hoping his dad has some surprises up his sleeve for us. Oh, and please can we get a book for Reid’s sister and the book club babes? Please!?!
