So that was seriously hot AF, and I don't know why I wasn't expecting that. I feel like I went into it expecting a lot of angst with some hotness and instead I got a bit of angst and a lot of squirming in public, and I couldn't be happier.

 

Carina and Ford have an obvious connection and I loved the insight into their history. I really loved this book, but it was absolutely not what I expected. Even as I read the book, I kept anticipating drama and angst and waiting for big explosions and instead I got rational, adult understanding. And I was so there for it.

 

Ford was so possessive and protective and everything I absolutely love in a new adult hero. And Carina could more than hold her own. They were just so perfectly matched for each other and witnessing their chemistry burn, I’m surprised my kindle survived it. I didn’t want to stop reading this book and although I loved the epilogue, I wish we got so much more.

 

I am so glad that we are getting so many familiar faces in all of these books. And waiting for the next one is its own special form of torture. Hopefully that little tease we got at the end is an indication of who's up next because I'm already dying to know more about them.
