I binge read the previous books in this series and then got to this one and didn't want to open it. Not that I didn't want to read the book, because Nellie has been awesome, and I was looking forward to her story. But because the next book in the series isn't available yet and I hate having to wait for the next one in a series I'm addicted to.

 

Cal and Nellie had been introduced to us in the previous book and I wasn't sure what to expect after seeing their bickering. I wanted to know what had happened between them for the animosity between them. But I had a feeling it was all Cal's fault.

 

Thankfully this was written in a dual point of view because I got to see the inner workings of Cal's mind. And seeing how he felt and how he reacted to their history through Nellie's eyes made him even more endearing. Seeing the history of their relationship made me understand the push and pull.

 

And now I have to wait for the next book in the series. God I hate having to wait. But how many amazing books are being released in October?
