Readers Retreats: Written with You (The Regret Duet #2) by Aly Martinez

Damn I did not see that coming. Like not even a hint of it in my peripheral and I seriously couldn't put it down once I picked it up. From the second I cracked the first page I was barely functioning.

See I liked the first half but it wasn't as gripping as previous books by Aly and although I wasn't comparing them that niggling thought was in the back of my mind. But that second half brought it home so perfectly.

Now in the interest of being completely spoiler free I am just going to say that the characters continued being amazing. The writing is exceptional of course. There were quite a few twists and turns, some I was buckled in waiting for, some that nearly made me drop my kindle. Some were beautiful and others were beautifully crafted.

And this is now another duet I will be obsessing about every time I think about it. Aly Martinez is the queen of gripping, emotionally charged romance and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.
